Conscience is a man's compass, and though the needle sometimes deviates,
though one often perceives irregularities when directing one's course by
it, one must still try to follow its direction. -Vincent van Gogh, painter

Up at 4:30 am as our window doesn't have any dark curtains, just sheer, white gauze-like ones. Anyway, thought that my alarm clock had stopped but when I looked at my computer saw that it was correct! Was more than happy to go back to sleep for almost two more hours, listening to the wonderful bird-song as I drifted off.
Hello The Sisterhood! Just a quick note to say hello. Thanks for snaps of sleepy kittens and KVR, Chloë. Had a wonderful evening last night, drinking vodka in our room before dinner. Breakfast was fabulous, our outdoor table looking up towards top of small ski hill. I fed mother cat before I took a few snaps of one of her three kittens, hiding in a large downspout outlet. Must away as I need to pack my panniers. Much Love and Fondestos to one and all. Cheers, Dad/Patrizzio!
No Vodka here! Just weeds in the garden and a very crabby mother after I hoed up her cucumber plants that I thought were weeds. Marlo and Ryan see cancer specialist today. We are all waiting for the news. Taking mom into Winnipeg tomorrow to see Denturist early Thursday am. We are staying over night at hotel near the University of Winnipeg. Hoping to go to the Human Rights museum for a few hours and for lunch. Reading a lot, dive bombed by hummingbirds yesterday while working in the garden. Enjoy the rest of the week. Where are you headed after cycling is over? To Maggie's? To Oslo? Miss you, need a snuggle. love Corinne

We will be in Naramata from June 17 for a week. Come by sometime. I saw there was a phone call on my cell phone from a Penticton number. No message. Was that you? Polly. Hope you are still enjoying your travels, Pat. New date proposed: Both dates are good for me. I didn’t hear the interview I would have liked to. ;) Michelle You can google Kate Harris and CBC and listen to the interview. Corinne

Hi Steel Magnolia! Thanks for informative response. I'm glad you were "alerted" to my travel progress by last message. I do apologize for not being in touch sooner but life on the road has been very busy, wonderful indeed, but very, very busy. Our group will be cycling towards Kraków as this week draws to a close and we are to arrive on Friday, June 8th. We will be staying at the Ibis Centrum. The tour is "officially" over on Sunday, June 10th but I plan to stay in Kraków until the following Tuesday or perhaps Wednesday, before traveling on to Aarhus.
I had hoped to visit Warsaw but now know that I will not have time to do this. Once I'm back in Kraków, even before, if possible, I will book my day trip to Auschwitz-Birkenau and make my train reservation for Denmark. As soon as I have confirmed my itinerary I will send you the details. Looking ahead I think, all going as I hope it might, I think I should arrive in Aarhus by Friday, June 15th, perhaps Thursday, June 14th, depending on train timetables, etc. At any rate, all the best. Stay well. Thanks again. Cheers, Patrizzio!
Pics: Duke's cousin and Life in Poland! Hi Patrick, It's all fine with me just let me know, and I will work things out No matter when you arrive. XO M Hi Patrizzio thanks for your e-mail. We could meet on Monday 11th, since you have got your bike, please come to my Uni: Cracow University of Technology,Warszawska 24 street (Politechnika Krakowska) - at 12:30, room 334 main building (when I finish my classes). Not far from your hotel. Then we could go to the main square or to the market together and talk. Is that ok for you? all the best Artur
if any changes - I will let you know
Hi Janet I wrote an e-mail to Patric so if he respond or called me there is a chance we can meet all the best Artur
Hi Old Farts, This Thursday, we are planning an assault on Hedges Butte. For those who aren’t familiar, it is the butte in the “Y” between Green Mountain Road and Marron Valley Road. We will: -meet at 0800 (note the time) at Home Hardware north parking lot in Penticton (0740 at IGA in Summerland). -carpool and make our way to a parking area on Green Mountain Road -hike into Hedges Butte from the northwestern approach. The view is wonderful! We will likely return by a similar route as we have made aware that we are trespassing in the area near Marron Valley Road. -return to Penticton for refreshment and debriefing. Interested? Let me know. Cheers, Jim
