[Looks like you gave Mom a very yummy night out for her birthday xoxo!!]
Up at 7:30 am to tip-toe out of the bedroom to let the Birthday Goil have a little more sleep. She was up at 6:00 am to let out Etta and Duke as Soccer Boy was agitating for attention!Sky looks much clearer this morning so perhaps we'll be eating outside at Front Street Brasserie this evening where I'm taking Lady Dar for her birthday dinner!
Congratulations on the very happy and rather special occasion of your 70th, Lady Dar! Hip Hip Hooray! Love and Cheers, Etta, Duke and Devoted Patrizzio!
Dear, Dear Friends! Just a brief note to thank you for your incredibly unstinting
hospitality! Fondestos and Cheers from Inveterate Freeloader Patrizzio!
Hip Hip Hooray to you, Rachael, on your more than remarkable achievement! Onward! Love and Cheers, Uncle Patrick!

Hi Tiptoe! Not directly but Penticton and many other cities and towns in the Okanagan are blanketed with smoke from the fires further north. I just returned from a 51 km ride and I could feel the effects in my throat and mouth. [I hope everyone is safe.] Not as bad today as it had been a few days before I returned from Vancouver where I attended the Folk Fest. Do you know Marlon Williams, from New Zealand.? He's a string-bean like you and even many of his mannerisms reminded me of you. Phenomenal voice indeed. The Mae Trio, from Melbourne, were terrific as well. Must away as I have t have a shower and change for bridge tonight. We are hosting and Lady Dar just left for yoga so I'm charge of making a large salad for dinner and opening a bottle of Upper Bench Chaaaaaaaaaardooooonnnnay, as Dusty would say! Just a bit of practice for tomorrow as it is Lady Dar's 70th and I'm taking her to The Front Street Brasserie here in town for dinner. I'm hoping to take bottle of a remarkable Petite Sirah I just muled back from California, 2014 Mounts, Dry Creek, Sonoma, 15.5% on the Richter scale! Picked it up when Sarge and I were staying near Healdsburg, with Pat and David Coffaro, another fabulous winery, before we continued on to Tinsel Town for Alejandro's wedding. Pizza with the Coffaros. When are you coming to visit? Cheers, Patrizzio!
Thank you for the beautiful card! It was great to visit with you.
Hope you are enjoying this warm weather and that you are not affected unduly by the smoke. One's thoughts are definitely with those who have lost their homes in the raging fires. Very scary. Thinking of you loads and loads. Thanks heaps. Jo-Anne and Colin The Berkeley "Mothers" are cheered!
