"The more I see of the world, the more am I dissatisfied with it; and every day confirms my belief of the inconsistency of all human characters, and of the little dependence that can be placed on the appearance of merit or sense.” —Pride and Prejudice (1813)

Maybe something you are interested in? Greetings from Kangeroo Island Jos en Aart Hello Kangaroo Island Folk! Trust you are both well. Thanks very much for the notice regarding the Philosophers' Café. In fact, we know the Moderator, René Goldman, as we met this past summer at a UBC Alumni gathering in OK Falls, hosted by the Corbishleys at their fabulous lakeshore home! Even more of a connection as a very good friend, Randy Nadeau, studied with René, at UBC when doing his PhD there. Randy lived with us for two years and now teaches at Trinity University in San Jose, Texas. René invited us to his book launch, this September, in Kelowna, but we were already committed that night as friends from Switzerland arrived earlier that day. I will go to the session on Jane Austen but Lady Dar will be busy readying things for Caroling for a Cause, the following evening. Fondestos from Lady Dar. Continue to enjoy Australia. Travel safely. Cheers, Patrizzio!

Hello Patrick I know you may be on the road now. I am taking Thursday off as a vacation day. Any chance I could meet up with you take you to your doctor's appointment--whatever. Would love to catch up even for a moment. Any chance we could take you to Granville Island for a coffee. Please let me know.
I would love to get together with you even if it is for a brief time. As ever lots of love, Jo-Anne
Hello Count Down to Early Retirement Goil! Sorry we weren't able to manage even a brief get-together but pleased to see the you are working up to full-retirement by taking days off during the week! Plan to see Murder on the Orient Express, with Kenneth Branagh as Poirot, [When Emma Thompson does Miss Marple you can consult!], as soon as it hits town. Fondestos and Cheers, Patrizzio!

Hi Corrine, Leigh here! I was trying to reserve some radio booth time to do an interview this week, but it is booked for repairs. I won't still be in town when they hope to be complete. I'm afraid that means I won't make the deadline for the song fest plug. I'm sorry! I do still want to include you in our profiles of amazing midlife women who are rewriting this stage of life and creating new maps for discovery.

Our show is on every Monday just a bit before 7pm. The operator is new and sometimes he fires the episode a bit too early. You can live stream it off the radio website at peach city radio. Our show is called Wabi Women So again apologizes for not being able to record a promo for the upcoming song fest.
I hope to have an interview with you in early December, if you have a few minutes. Thanks again! Leigh PS Keep Patrick in pants!

Hello Fashion Consultant! In the first instance, just to let you know, you need to pay more attention to your punctuation as you regularly drop the apostrophe in your "Im"! I won't even bother to mention "apologizes"! Leigh "apologizes" to Patrrizio for making so many "apologies" to Lady Dar!

Furthermore, I'll have you know that I'm wearing long underwear, [albeit a tad tatty as pair is almost 30 years old], as I scribe. Do the Stansfield's Long Johns qualify as pants? In spite of all this, I did want to send along some of the "stalker" snaps I've taken of late. I know you mentioned you may well be out of town for our Open House but if not, we'd love to see you and any hangers on you might care to bring along. Fondestos and Cheers, Patrizzio! Pics: Farmers' Market, August 12th; Christmas Fair, Open House; FM, July 22nd Please correct text and return for marking!!! (Hi Corrine, [Corinne!])
