Smaller than a breadbox, bigger than a TV remote, the average book fits
into the human hand with a seductive nestling, a kiss of texture,
whether of cover cloth, glazed jacket, or flexible paperback. -John

Today's trip:<https://photos.app.goo.gl/X9VP9UESLKMwwht> Another glorious day in paradise. Hi Paradise Photographer! Thanks for the lovely album, Al. How I wish I could have been with you to see those lovely flowers. Still, next best thing to being there. Six weeks before I even start physiotherapy other than five or six very simple, gentle arm and hand exercises. However, I have been able to ride my stationary bicycle and I'm up to fifty minutes today. All the best to you and rest of the gang. Cheers, Patrick! Just sent you all a Google Drive link to some more photo. Cheers, Aart
Hi Patriccio: Thanks for your lovely card. I hope your recovery is going well. We miss you on our outings.
Otto Hi King Ottokar! Thanks for the best wishes. Glad you enjoyed the card. Having
viewed the various albums, I wish I could have been with you and rest of the gang. Stay well.
Cheers, Patrick!
Here are a couple of photos from March 4th, NE End of Cartwright AND today March 18, SW End of Cartwright: Both great outings, so good to be out there with friends. Al kissed several buttercups today, so gentle ... just like, no doubt, he did with his first girlfriend! Enjoy, Aart Hi Al and Aart, The buttercups are out! Enough said! TimHi Patrick, what surgery? Why? You have nothing better to do than add some decorative scars over your knightly body? We missed you. Al Hi Al! Nice to be missed! I underwent a complete right shoulder replacement. No cartilage left after more than twenty-five years of squash and handball, plus the ravages of old-age. All going well I will regain full rotation. Nothing for six weeks and then physio begins so you are my window into the group's various outings. Stay well. Cheers Patrick!
As you might know, Wyatt was one of the whiskeys on the list. I had the opportunity to tell Doug about the bottle you so generously presented us with before Christmas. He donated three bottles for the afternoon's tasting and I gather that tours of the distillery will be offered to members. Chap with him mentioned that his wife went to school with you in New Brunswick, I believe. We are all related one way or another. Looks like we'll have two tables this evening. On desk dose on on the regards from Lady Dar to both and chairs Bethany Teal also known as Patrick!
Pics: Sara, Game Judith and Collin, Sarah's father. Simon, Collin's brother. Chef at Zia's insulin in Summerland. Kevin. Peter and Glenn Lynne are treating us to dinner at the Hooded my dancer Merganser on Wednesday. Apparently, blackmail to help with their yard sale in April!
Tummler, let us know how you are doing a week in from your surgery. I'm sure the malt tasting set everything right last night. We are settled into our digs here on the west side of Lake Osoyoos looking out across a frozen lake toward Nk'mip resort on the hill. We are looking forward to seeing you both. Let us know if you are feeling up for a visit. Our schedule is pretty much open so let us know what suits you.
Our only obligations are: both of us have conference calls on Thursday morning which can happen anywhere we can find a cell signal and a quiet place. Let us know if you have any suggestions for food and drink, sightseeing, hiking, biking or other activities in this area. Here our cell phone numbers if you would rather call. Fond regards to all, W&CJ Hi Jane & George Would it work for you to come for Friday and Saturday night? I’m at hospital until noon volunteering but home just after noon. We could go out for lunch on Friday or Saturday. Remind me again what you aren’t eating? Patrick is doing really well and will be even better with your company. Hugs Corinne
Corinne, relieved to know that Pat is doing well. If Friday and Saturday are the best nights for you, that works for us. We will come up for midday on Friday as you suggest. Thanks for remembering our dietary restrictions. Our diet is primarily vegetarian although we do eat fish and seafood. We would like to offer to build a dinner on one of those nights. Let us know and we can bring some of the ingredients. Are we remembering correctly that your diet is GF? Let us know if we can pick up any wines for you at the few wineries that remain open at this time. Or anything else for that matter. Looking forward to seeing you both, WCJ
That’s great. I’m am GF. We were thinking that you might want to do some wine tasting here on Saturday. You doing dinner one night would be wonderful. Really looking forward to our visit. Hugs Corinne
On the whiskey front I went with a couple of friends to the Writer’s Festival Whiskey Tasting last week and it was the best ever. Held at Performance Works on Granville Island the venue was large and, therefore, crowded but not overly so as it used to be in the Shaughnessy Mansion. And, they had food sampling in addition to booze. Besides a dozen or so Scotches there were three locally-made Ryes that were very good and retail for about $45. In the silent auction I became the proud owner of a bottle of Glenfarclas that I had not tried before and a magnum of Myers Family Vineyards Chardonnay. Good luck with the new shoulder. Cycling starts soon. Thanks for the pics. I am off to Mexico with family and the grandchildren for spring break. All the best, Peter

We open our mouths and out flow words whose ancestries we do not even
know. We are walking lexicons. In a single sentence of idle chatter we
preserve Latin, Anglo-Saxon, Norse: we carry a museum inside our heads,
each day we commemorate peoples of whom we have
never heard. -Penelope Lively, writer (b. 17 Mar 1933)
