Back to the Shouldares and The Elasto-Stretch Blues: Sunday, December 8th!

The real index of civilization is when people are kinder than they need to be. -Louis de Bernieres, novelist (b. 8 Dec 1954)

Do you still need bridge players for tomorrow? I could play if you need me. Cheers, Jos Hi Josinta! Welcome back to the Wide World of Bridge! Yes, indeed, we need you to complete one table, with O Susannah, Lady Di and myself. [Okidokes, I will be there tomorrow! Jos] I drove Lady Dar over to Chloë's place around 9:30 am as The Girls wanted to go to The Hooded Merganser for breakfast. Lady Dar was going to take Rowan James, in the stroller, with Maya, to the restaurant and Chloë would drive there with Katie.  After breakfast, Katie has to drive back to Vernon and the others will walk home. Chloë didn't think she could walk both ways as she is still reasonably sore from her incision. Maya will stay for the day and after dinner I'll drive her to the airport for her flight to Vancouver.

Not sure if I'll be able to join gang collecting firewood tomorrow. I know Chloë has to take Rowan back to hospital for a normal check-up and don't know, as of this writing, if I'm needed, or not. Would like to join in as it would be a good way to start back hiking. Anyway,  I'll know, one way or another, later today and can then decide. Congratulations,a gain, to Aarturos, for the wonderful concert. Look forward to seeing you, domani, one way or another. Fondestos and Cheers, Patrizzio! Pics: Tree-cutting; Tuneagers; Big Hank! Thank you! ... great pics ... keepers! Aart

sorry i missed it - we're here in Sedona now and not had Facebook reminders till now!!! hope you had a good day and all the best for the next year hugs Gilliana! Hello Sedona Folk! Pleased your trip went well and you are now safely ensconced in your home away from home! Thanks for your birthday wishes. I was treated to a wonderful dinner and had gone for a 76 km ride, to Crescent Beach, that day so was pleased as punch! We really enjoyed The Tuneagers yesterday. Elvia was there and she assumed you had left for Arizona as, at that point, I wasn't sure if you had been given green light by dottore! Congratulations, again, to you, Gilliana, on your stellar recovery. Stay well. Fondestos and Cheers, to you both, Patrizzio!

Patrick, Could you please give me Chloe’s mailing address as we would like to send a gift to welcome Rowan. Thanks, Dawn Hello Donna Maria and Heraldo!
Trust you are both well! Coincidentally, your message arrived almost the same time as one from Miss Marpole, [aka, Jo-Anne Naslund!], asking for Chloë's address as well! She and Colin have been doing a fair bit of traveling so she is certainly enjoying her retirement. Here is Rowan James' addressStay well. Fondestos and Cheers to you both, Patrizzio!Pics: Katie and Maya this morning, supervising feeding

Was grand to see Maya and Katie this weekend. Katie had to drive back to Vernon after breakfast, Sunday morning, but since Maya wasn't flying out until that evening we enjoyed dinner with her. I declined an offer to drink with meal as I was to take her to the airport. Just as dinner was about to be served, Flamin' called and asked if Maya wanted a ride as she was on same flight! I insisted she hitch-hike with her so I could then enjoy some hootch!

Another visitor on Thursday as Ayn is flying up from LA, for weekend. Looking forward to seeing her as we will not be driving to Tinsel Town for Christmas this year, although Chloë, Rowan James and Corinne are hoping to fly there in February, to celebrate Olivia Rose's 1st birthday!
