Dave Bennett Quartet Benny Goodman Blues: Saturday, September 8th!

Our memories are card indexes consulted and then returned in disorder by authorities whom we do not control. -Cyril Connolly, critic and editor (10 Sep 1903-1974)

Both felines went out at 4:50 am. I was surprised at Etta has usually slept-in last little while! Nevertheless, the two of them were patiently waiting, on settee, when I looked out the window at 7:20 am.

Furthermore, chap is coming to install lip on top stair to Rumpus Room at 9:00 am. After we'd "rescued" Duke I moved the wall unit away from steps so it is all set to go when he arrives. However, first set, (Dave Bennett Quartet), we want to take in starts at 10:00 am at the TCC. If lip installer finishes in time for us to make that show, we'll drive down. However, the DBQ, (one of groups we are most interested in), is also playing at the Elks Hall at 11:30 am so we might just wait until then and walk down to spend most of the rest of the day there as the line-up is such that we want to hear most everybody playing that venue.

The Harbour Terrace Freeloaders wine-tasted their way to Spirit Ridge after depleting our wine cellar to the extent that it is but a storage space, empty of every expensive bottle we owned! Thanks, Patrick! Glad to hear you're doing well. Talk soon. Kjell Thanks for pics - is everyone except Michele nappin and noddin? Really pleased you enjoyed the Warrabilla w Sarge n Michele- he showed it to me, I said keep that away from Patrick, he'll only drink it... but Sarge kind of knew you would anyway, shrugged, and put it out where he'd see it. I remember the day we went to Warrabilla - that little foray one of my fondest memories with you. You remember we came away fron Pfeiffer where you'd been verbally stroking the serving gals. You said one of them is pregnant. I said jesus Patrick, we were only there for half an hour! And drove on.
