Lady Dar and I celebrated forty-three years of marriage today! We were married in Victoria, with Ayn, almost nine, and Chloë, [six months, in utero!], on the last day of my final practicum. [I took the day off as we took a float plane that morning!] Lady Dar had made a reservation at The Front Street Brasserie where we enjoyed a simply wonderful, wonderful dinner. Shared a Caesar salad and then two mains, a Chantrelle mushroom dish and the pork cheeks, the porcine equivalent of Cod cheeks, ones we'd not had before. Both simply remarkable and washed down with a Blasted Church 2016 Syrah. Haven't been to the winery for years, (2012!), and were most impressed with this red.

As restaurant is such a tiny place, we knew people at two of the four tables and managed to get to know ones we hadn't met before! We chatted, briefly, with the Lighthall's neighbours, the Nielans, as well as Margaret Cannings, Dick's lovely wife. He is our MP. The last time we were with the former was at Lynne's 75th birthday celebration when Peter organized a special dinner at the restaurant. Cheers, Patrizzio! Pics: Wedding anniversary dinner and More! Even the sky sent us beautiful greetings! We are more than fortunate to have each other, together with such supportive and loving friends and family. Cheers!
