Four-No-Trump Pot Luck Bidding Blues: Tuesday, June 6th!

We have enslaved the rest of the animal creation, and have treated our distant cousins in fur and feathers so badly that beyond doubt, if they were able to formulate a religion, they would depict the Devil in human form. -William R. Inge, clergyman, scholar, and author (6 Jun 1860-1954)

Good morning Patrick, Well we're here with our MG club in Osoyoos and have quite the packed itinerary! We're setting off tomorrow @8.30am for the Penticton & Wine Country Visitor Centre. Probably get there about 9.45 -10am. We'll probably go and visit some wineries along the Naramata bench and then go on to Summerland for lunch.

Any chance of seeing you maybe at the visitor centre tomorrow? It'll be quite the spectacle with 23 vintage MG's! Hope to see you. Cheers, Baldrick Hello Sir Andrew! Can you hear me, Baldrick? Had your dates in Osoyoos pencilled in on my calendar so terrific to hear from you! Will definitely see you tomorrow. You sound pretty busy but if opportunity arises you are more than welcome to come by for a drink or a meal. Fondestos from The Marriage Officiant to you and Anne. Cheers, Patrizzio/Il Conduttore!

Thanks Pat'zio. For a simple days hitching you both made an event of it - reading the above made me feel like my aftoon nap. Really pleased D's first joining was relaxing, I bet she was a wonderful celebrant. Thanks for la offer - I would love to join you but I will be back to collect Colin and stay w Amos n Pat in Aug-Sep, then C and I are driving back to Seattle-Van. Any recommended places to stay or visit gratefully entertained. Good news abt timber, we cn probably build you a respectable mancave while we're about it, so pile it up.

Had a lovely time w old Nassau friends Dave and Charlene - live in Glendale, terrific location to explore from. Dave retired from the Carson and later Connor show - he's a serious painter who did TV fx for a cash job all the years since moving from Nassau. Charlene a beautiful Bahamian who also works in TV as a cost accountant - somewhat miscast as the fierce finance lady on set. Both bright and interested in lots like us.

If perchance it works out I could hitch down for a few days landscaping and giving guitar lessons to Dave - he was chuffed when I suggested it. KMG doing great stuff at this professional meeting (no research papers to present at this one) making contacts for graduate student exchanges. Did I tell you we raised a virtual tasting glass to you as we railed through Paso Robles - the landscape felt like home. Love and gracias otra vez. S n K Stephen Carthew

Hi Stefano!

Glad to hear you had such a wonderful time in Glendale. We have had some terrific wine-tasting trips in and around Paso, along with visits to Hearst Castle, so it is a favourite spot for us. Thanks for the virtual toast! Also pleased to learn that The Professoressa is making many useful contacts.

However, still a tad confused about where and when you want to hitch a ride when you replied: "Thanks for la offer - I would love to join you but I will be back to collect Colin and stay w Amos n Pat in Aug-Sep, then C and I are driving back to Seattle-Van." Followed by, "If perchance it works out I could hitch down for a few days landscaping and giving guitar lessons to Dave - he was chuffed when I suggested it." Let me know what you have/had in mind. Be pleased to offer suggestions of where to stay/visit on your road trip with Colin. Basically, need to know which route you want to drive and for how long you imagine you wish to take. We can discuss such on drive back to Penticton on June 20th. Lady Dar will have her spots to suggest as well, I'm sure. Mus away as we are off to The Naramata shortly to collect latest release form Terravista and then on into Village, itself, where Lady Dar has some clothes to look at! Cheers, Patrizzio!

Hi Fartograms, Had a great hike yesterday despite the million of musquitos who wanted to enjoy the view with us. Thanks Tony. Coming Monday June 12 we are going to hike up Giant Pincushion. Wilderness Trainee Olly will lead the hike under expert guidance of Kilian & Chuck. We will gather at the IGA parking lot in Summerland at 8:00AM. Pentictonites should meet at 7:40AM at HH, then carpool to Summerland. PLEASE (Continue to) NOTE THE TIME CHANGE (8:00AM)! See you there. Aart Dronkers
