Juno Hits the KVR from Arawana to Little Tunnel: Wednesday, June 14th!

Everything you add to the truth subtracts from the truth. -Alexander Solzhenitsyn, novelist, Nobel laureate (1918-2008)

G’day Patrick, Isn’t it a great way of supporting primary producers and cutting out the middle man! Great photos, too. Hmmm…I suspected things might be a little tougher north of the border. I have investigated purchasing said supplements online and when you type in your address a message pops up that says, “importing into your country is restricted due to …”. I reckon you would get the same message if you tried ordering them into Canadia.

Unless I come across any travelling Yankees, I think I will have to wait until we fly into LA next year to get the supplements we have talked about. We are going to spend a couple of days exploring Disneyland before heading on to Sun Peaks in Jan ’18, so will check out a 7-Eleven or drugstore while we are there. Thanks for your efforts Patrick, going to drown my sorrows with a glass of McLaren Vale Mourvedre from Samuels Gorge-bloody beautiful drop, too😉 Regards, Mark

Hi again Mark! I'm drooling, hearing about Samuels Gorge Mourvedre! You lucky sod!!! Don't know that particular winery but McLaren Vale is probably our favourite Australian region, for reds, at least, and we both love this varietal as well. For our part, we are off to a pizza bash, this coming Friday evening, at Upper Bench Winery and Creamery. Shana, owner, along with Gavin, her husband, winemaker, makes wonderful, wonderful cheese.

They have just completed a brand new pizza oven on their lovely patio and have invited Wine Club members to be their pizza guinea pigs!
Coincidentally, we happen to have a close friend, Branko, visiting from Vancouver and we are able to bring him along as well. He and Juno, [his daughter's adorable pooch], arrived this past Tuesday to help me with various projects around house. Where is EcoUrbane when you really need a builder? Cheers, Patrizzio!

Pics: Today's coffee break and template for sides of new bike storage lockers. I'm assisting Master Carpenter Ragin' Bull! Juno, after a swim at water dog park at the bottom of Ellis, (just a few blocks away), where it runs into Okanagan Lake. Ragin' and Lady Dar took her for an outing while I, junior apprentice, was charged with sweeping up sawdust and gathering up tools, etc.

Hello Post-Anniversary Bidders! Looks like next Tuesday is the best evening for most people so we'll be playing on Spiller Road at 6:30 pm since Junk Food Gill has kindly offered to host. Thanks Cheezies Girl! Summerlandians and Judy Blue can hitch a ride from The Burns Street Bus at 6:10 pm, unless all three Summerians will be playing. In which case, perhaps Machu Picchu Man will volunteer to chauffeur The Summerland Sisterhood! Let me know and we'll plan accordingly.

Must away as Branko is up and I need to jump start him with a strong mug of java. We had a boozy evening last night, with Judy Blue, [
Good morning Corinne and Patrick, Thanks for such a lovely evening of good food , wine, bridge and friendship!! Judy Thanks for wine and more than tasty plate of nibbles, JB! Thank you for the goodies you bought. I will drop your plate off at your door,

See you next week, Corinne], over for dinner and more bridge. Cheers, Patrizzio!
This wood /logs are in the same area but not the house you picked before.
I will let them know to stack logs in front of the house and you will come and take the logs. Give me your number so I can pass it to owners. ph-Thanks Ed

Hi again, Eduardo! Here is our home number. Thanks. Cheers, Patrizzio!

Hi there, As you may have heard, we have just launched our brand new pizza oven on our patio here at Upper Bench! As you are some of our most valued Club members, we are extending a super secret invitation to you to be our pizza guinea pigs! We would love for to join us this Friday, June 16th from 5pm-8pm on our patio to try out our new menu. $10 gets you all the pizza you can eat as well as some delicious wine. Plus, winemaker Gavin may have a few surprises in store for you throughout the night. Please reply to this email as soon as you can and let us know if you're planning on joining us and let us know about any dietary restrictions when you reserve. We look forward to hearing back from you soon! Cheers, Sarah Sloan

Hi Sarah! What a wonderful offer! Yes, both Corinne and I would love to be guinea piglets! [She is gluten-intolerant, so that is her dietary restriction.] Additionally, we happen to have a close friend visiting from Vancouver and we were wondering if we might bring him along. However, we know it will probably be a most popular event so understand if this is not possible. At any rate, let us know what you think and we'll plan accordingly. Thanks again for the lovely invitation. Cheers, Patrizzio!

Hi Patrick, Of course you can bring your friend. I will mention Corrine's gluten-intolerance to our chef, I know he was also preparing some lovely salads and other options in addition to the pizzas. We look forward to seeing you all tomorrow evening! Hi again, Sarah! Thanks so much for speedy reply. Wonderful that Branko can join us so much appreciated, as well as for consideration of Corinne's needs. I'm sure she'll not starve as past events have proved! Look forward to our time in The Pizza Lab! Should we wear white lab coat, booties and hair-nets to prevent cross-contamination? Cheers, Patrizzio!
