Wait and See Equinox Alignment Blues: Tuesday, June 20th!

The well taught philosophic mind / To all compassion gives; / Casts round the world an equal eye, / And feels for all that lives. -Anna Letitia Barbauld, poet, essayist, and editor (20 Jun 1743-1825)

Back at 9 45. If you are still in town see you around 10 30. Hi Sarge! We will see you as we won't be leaving as soon as I had anticipated. When we drove in on Sunday I noticed a slight pull in the steering wheel so I took vehicle into Dueck on Marine yesterday morning. Unfortunately, for us, service, (wheel balancing and alignment, brake check, [There is a slight rattle when car comes to a stop and technician thought it might be a loose brake pad, or something worse!), cannot be started until this morning. This being the case , have no real idea what to expect, regarding expense and departure time. Hope, for your sake it is around noon, probably the earliest, otherwise you and Flamin will have to sleep on blow-up! Anyway, I'm off to the gym as I might as well exercise, especially as your malt collection is finished and the wine fridges are pretty well empty as well! Cheers, Patrizzio!

Hello Okanaganites! Just a quick message to say that Lady Dar and I probably won't be back in Penticton in time to play bridge this evening! Matters beyond our control. Car cannot be started until this morning. This being the case, have no real idea what to expect regarding our departure time. Hope it is around noon, probably the earliest, in all likelihood, as these things go, probably later.

This being the case I suggest that Spiller Road Folk contact Judy Blue about giving her a lift. Sorry for this last minute notice but things unraveled so quickly that this is really the first opportunity I've had to send out a broadcast. Save us some bridge prizes Olga Polga! Fondestos from Lady Dar, happy about more shopping time, to one and all. Cheers, Patrizzio!

Sorry 😐 about the car 🚗 woes, Patrick and Corinne. To oly and Phil & gill. I am going to back out also. If I am counting right that will make it 4 for one table. Judy Without Judy I think only 3?? That being the case we won't come over Olly. Perhaps we want to go for Wed and we can host if Olly busy?? Hope Patrick the car repairs go okay. Who would you be interested in Wed? Gill I think Jos is planning on being there Corinne Looks like just 4 now. Judy we'll pick you up at 6.10. Just give me your address again. See you Gill

Corrine, thx for email saying Jos was coming, again best wishes and good luck with the car and hope to see you soon I think I'm now correct in saying Phil, Jos me and you Olly for tonight. Pam and Mike not here and Judy said she'd skip tonight. Anyone know otherwise re numbers? bye and see you tonight Gill So far I know we have Gill, Phil, Olly and Jos. Correct? If we have 4, I will see you at Olly's at 6.30pm Jos Hi Gil, Are Judy and Pam coming? They will need to carpool? Cheers, Olly

Hello Not sure if you are still at my parents but if so can you let Molly out for a quick pee I let her out before I left quickly but I won't be home until later If not don't worry she should be fine We're still here will let her out C

OK, we grasp it's just a single night, a few precious hours, with you before you blow down the road to the big city. Hope Stealth XIV or whatever number you are on now cooperates. Is Flamin' coming down with you too? Hello again, Dyslexic Reservation Desk Clerk, Il Palazzo di Vicente! Sarge and I heartily wish is was more than but a few precious hours in your scintillating company, especially since Flamin's will not be along, just the twa of us, along with two nubile Swedish masseuses that have been working at Coffaro who want a lift down to Tinsel Town. They are quite friendly and accommodating so don't mind sharing the futon and bedroll in the living room! Other than that they are looking forward to the un-pizza dinner!

Sarge just walked in the door, about two hours late, delayed by late departure from LA and then a 45 minute wait for baggage. Had to check their bags as they muled home four bottles of Scheid, (Monterey), wine, 2013 Tannat, 14.4%, Tempranillo, 13.9% and Petite Sirah, 13.9%. Tasted at the 13th Annual Carmel Valley Art & Wine Celebration this past Saturday in Carmel Valley Village. Must away as I have to try to arrange to hitch a ride to dealership if and when car is ready! Drag to begin with, about needing service/repairs but if we leave by 3:00 pm it will be right in rush hour and it will be a nightmare just getting out of the city and as far as Abbotsford before freeway opens up.

On the bright side, Bonnie Raitt concert was more than a delight. [Royal Wood opened for her and he is someone to watch-out for. Very, very talented singer/songwriter from Toronto. I've heard him, mainly on CBC, of late.] Her voice seems as strong and beautifully haunting, when not belting out raunchy numbers, as ever. Slide guitar was marvellous indeed. She bemoaned the fact that she had to return to the US today as last night was the final performance of the three week Canadian tour. Even if the Equinoz is having surgery Trump isn't our Prime Minister! Condolences and Cheers to you and Donna Florida, Rizzzzzzzzzo!
