Up at 7:27 am to head over the gym again and was very pleased with the morning's workout as I was able to push the calorific expenditure to 1053 over 70 minutes and 3.7 miles on the Elliptizer. Back home to enjoy my breakfast of sausages and over-left salad from yesterday's delicious take-out lunch that Chloë had treated us to, from Delicious. I had waffles with avocado and slices of green apple.

Ragin' Bull arrived at 12:30 pm, U-Haul trailer in tow and so the loading began. The Sisterhood started moaning about how the mattress wouldn't fit and on and on. In the end, all the cardboard boxes and every stick of furniture, (with the exception of an awkward, due to its arms, small chair), fit into the trailer and we slammed the metal door shut at just after 4:00 pm. Lorenzo, Ragin's friend had come to help but really didn't do much as al the heavy lifting had been done by the time he arrived so he lolled on the couch, [Chloë sold it to Robertito and it will be collected on Wednesday.], sipping wine!

Thanking Ragin', we waved goodbye to both lads and then did the same to Chloë as we wanted to stop in to have a quick visit with Champagne Charlie, down the way at The Cottage Hospice. Had a lovely, if fairly brief visit, with Charlie and then we had to go. Hope to see him, mid-October, when we are back to volunteer at the VWF.

Quick shower and change and then Sarge dropped me off to have dinner with Ragin'. Fabulous meal and then I walked back to GI to arrive around 9:45 am. Quite enjoyed the evening stroll seeing all the new construction I'd not been aware of.

Hello Long-Lost Bridge People! Trust everyone is well. Lady Dar and I are in Vancouver, at the moment, helping Chloë pack to move to Penticton. Her new job starts on October 2nd! At any rate, Ragin' Bull has very kindly offered his truck to tow a U-Haul to move most of Chloë's wordly possessions to Burns Street. That being the case, he will be in town over this coming weekend and I'd like to stitch together a game, either on Thursday or Friday, or even Saturday evening, so please let me know who might be interested and available and I'll plan accordingly. Conflict: I am so sorry to be missing the book club again, but it is the night that Noble Ridge set for our end of the season staff party and I really want to attend it. It is also the night of the Fest of Ale volunteer appreciation BBQ but I had already declined that in favor of the book club, but our staff party is another thing. Hi Elsie! Trust you are well. I must apologize for not being in touch sooner. VWF was a whirlwind of activity and you were right, I did have the date of Captain Haddock's memorial wrong. Had it been on Saturday, I would have been able to attend. As it was on Sunday, I couldn't. I was Crew Captain for both Brunch and Afternoon Tea and my shift went from 7:30 am until 7:00 pm. Not complaining but I really didn't have a minute to spare. Had meant to call you before we left Vancouver but again, had so much to do that my good intention was lost in the shuffle.
