The art of life is to know how to enjoy a little and to endure much. -William Hazlitt, essayist (10 Apr 1778-1830)
Alex reading to Olivia: Thought the librarians would enjoy this!! Hello from LA xoxo!! Love it! She seems to be enjoying the book. Love her little leg rolls.
Mom Yep, she has juicy little thighs! I was nibbling them on Sunday! Her thighs are everything!!! And her wrists look like they have elastic bands on them. 🥰❤️ Hello Book Time People! I guess we won't have to go for Dim Sum anymore as we can just chew on Olivia's Spring rolls. Duke wants to play with her elastic band wrists so she is an all in one Universal Studios attraction! Love and Cheers from Burns Street! Pics: Etta waiting for a nibble, Duke waiting for an elastic!
Thanks for the book and show recommendations! We're glad that you are progressing so well with your shoulder recovery. I think the solar panels are an awesome idea. We'll probably get some info from you because we'd also like to do it at our house. My SUV's days are limited so I'll be curious about the handling of your Hyundia Kona.
We are in the process of getting our view back by trimming a bunch of our
fast growing trees. Hopefully, you'll get to see it some time when you travel back to Vancouver. We just saw two plays, one of which I would highly recommend called "Bed and Breakfast" set in Toronto, how timely. The other was a version of Chehov's "The Cherry Orchard", but was called "The Orchard" set in the Okanagan but still needs a lot of tweeking to be great. Though it was nice to see something with local interest. Cheers! Ruth P.S. I'll be sending a couple of photos of Emry by text. Emry’s adorable smile!

Hi New Old View People! Wonderful that you will be able to play bridge, drink fabulous wine and gaze at the view spectaculare! Yet one more reason to visit but one visit time, so to speak! Funnily enough, I heard the author of The Orchard interviewed on CBC a few weeks ago and thought that setting Chekov's play in the Okanagan was terrific. I understood that it was mounted fairly quickly so like you say it may well need more revision. That being said, I'd like to see it when we can.
We'll bring along the folder which Argon put together for our solar panels to give you some idea of process involved. On the electric car charging front, Lady Darjeeling had plugged in the Kona yesterday and we hadn't used it until she left to go to the driving range around noon today. In a little less than 24 hours it was completely recharged for over 420 kilometers worth the driving. As you might imagine we were both quite pleased at the result as this is only through a normal electrical outlet. Once the panels and dedicated charging station, [Level 2], are in place, I believe less than an hour will be required.
[He looks like his uncle!!! Chloë] Next task is to install the ChargePoint, [I've already applied for these cards which allow you to use public charging stations although any valid credit card can be used, as far as I understand the system.], app on our smart phones which will allow allow all sorts of tracking/usage functions. Until now I have never really used my phone except to take when biking, in case of emergency. Now it seems matter of common sense and prudent driving, especially when traveling any distance. Needless to say, we are much relieved to whiz by gas stations, given current prices!
Unfortunately, for you two, we'll need to charge you for taking you on a tour in the Kona, fully refundable when you buy an Evehicle! Lady Darjeeling is reluctant to do so having been won over by Emry's winning smile, but business is business in the cutthroat world of lawyers and wine drinkers!
Must away for another session on the stationary bike while Lady Dar is off to collect our tickets for the Fest of Ale, on this weekend. We are just going for Saturday, as is Flamin', coming tomorrow, but not Sarge. David, Maya's husband, is a beer rep for a craft brewery in Sechelt, so they will both be here. They will be buying my old Escape which we gave to Chloë when we purchased the MarriageMobile. Now that she has a company car, [another Escape but not a hybrid], and, perhaps more importantly, a company gas card, she wanted to sell it. When Maya learned of this she said she would like to buy it. Will be fun to see them both has as have not done so for a year or more. Flamin' will stay in town until after Easter and Sarge will come up for the holiday so will see him at Spirit Ridge. Stay well. Take care of The Grumpoid and fond wishes to you both. Cheers Patrizzio!Pics: Monday night's two tables; Patio Girl and Tulip Boy! Latest of Olivia!

In case of inclement weather we could do an alternate shorter hike in the same area which encompasses the Pinacles and one or two nearby peaks. Penticton people meet at the Home Hardware parking lot at 8:40 for carpooling directly to the trestle. Peter Service's sister, Marietta, who is is visiting Penticton will be joining us at Home Hardware and will be needing a ride to Summerland. Let me know if you can pick her up en route. Summerlanders meet at the trestle at 9:00. Let me know if you need directions, Please let me know whether you are planning on coming. Cheers, Peter
