Penticton Farmers’ Market Winter Market Blues: Saturday, November 9th!

A man who is 'ill-adjusted' to the world is always on the verge of finding himself. One who is adjusted to the world never finds himself, but gets to be a cabinet minister. -Hermann Hesse, novelist, poet, Nobel laureate (2 Jul 1877-1962)

Dear Patrick Thanks for your kind mail and the pictures that once again reminded us of a great time in Penticton. I envy your letterwriting skills! Someday someone will make a reality TV-show out of your life:-) We are looking forward to November 23! Send our best wishes to Chloë!

It's really good to hear that you are back on the bike again. There are so many wonderful trips still waiting for you in BC and around the world. I look forward to taking you on a biketrip around Aarhus! We might even combine it with winetasting tour:-). Bring love and all the best wishes to Lady Dar, Chloë and everybody we met in Penticton! M + H

Hello Danish Dynamite! Thanks for the lovely wishes and pleased you enjoyed the album. [Great new varietal! Niche marketing at its best!] It brought back many fond memories for us as well. Yes it is wonderful to be back biking again.

Off to the first Penticton Farmers’ Market Winter Market shortly and then to Chloë's place to put up two sets of shelves in her laundry cupboard. Lady Dar bought them yesterday but they need to be assembled. Then to Rona to buy a toilet for the coming basement suite. [Things are moving ahead as we have engaged Mike, contractor who did our kitchen, and although he cannot start, full-time, until January, he will bring in his sub-contractors, plumber and electrician, who will begin some of the infrastructure work within the next few weeks.] Different models are on sale and at very good prices so want to take advantage of this as Chloë's budget is extremely stretched as it is! Fondestos from Lady Dar to you both and will pass along your wishes to Chloë when we see her later. All the very best. Stay well. Cheers, Patrizzio!

Sold 50/50 tickets at The Dream this evening. Christine Martin, from Nova Scotia, accompanied by her husband, on guitar, was preforming. Would have liked to have stayed for entire show as she has a very, very strong voice.

So sorry not to have written sooner. Same as you. Plenty of excuses etc! Just a quickie as I am en route for Albert Hall to take part in Remembrance Day services. They will be televised.  Great news about Chloe and pics of her and your other ones are lovely. Pics on my phone are good quality. Many to show you next year. All basically ok. Poor Pat suffers quite badly from arthritis and a gallstone, although the latter has not bothered her for a while. My prostate and blood tests have been good. Back usual problem, however swimming and walking remain good exercise.

Been travelling like your good selves. Singing in France near Avignon, then went to Tarbes where I worked on a voluntary service camp in 1966. Then to Sarlat where hootch and bouffe( French slang for food) are abundant! I have sung there and have a friend who runs a hotel there.

Back to Avignon, stop over and back on TGV to UK.Then up to Wales to sing and stay with a singing friend and 1 night in a B and B. September. 1 week +with Twin Town in Hungary and 4 days in Vienna including a trip to Salzburg to see Mozarts 2 museums etc. Weekend in Spain to see a good friend from work whose wife was very ill and sadly died shortly after my return to UK.

Then a trip with local churches to Holy Island in north east England. So no rest for wicked and looking forward to next year's cholr trip to USA and really grateful to be welcomed at your home in Penticton. Time after trip in USA with relations in Florida and could come to you towards end of march. Pat grateful to be asked too but dog and mobility etc make it difficult. Shall give you a phone soon. Hope Lady Dar's weddings continue to prosper. All our love. Sir James and Lady Patrizzia.
