Hurry Up and Wait Induction Blues: Saturday, November 23rd!

If you bungle raising your children, I don't think whatever else you do well matters very much. -Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis, former first lady (1929-1994)

Hi Salish Sea Folk! Thanks for best wishes. As Lady Dar mentioned, Chloë was waiting for hospital to call. Finally did happen around 4:00 pm so they drove to hospital. Her kidney function had changed dramatically since yesterday so obgyn was coming in and nursing staff felt doctor may want to do a C-section. Took new tests and second results were much more positive so that was a relief. Learned this when Lady Dar came home, stopping off at Chloë's to pick up her bag, and have a bite to eat. I drove her back to the hospital as Chloë had been given an IV drip to induce labour. Whether she will undergo a Caesarean, or not, remains to be seen. So, The Waiting Game continues!

Lady Dar said Chloë was feeling and doing pretty well, given circumstances. When she phoned to tell me about first results she asked if I wanted to speak to Chloë but Chloë said she didn't want to as she would cry! Anyway, I'm waiting for next call. If I don't hear from Lady Dar after I've sent a few more messages to update other friends and family, I'll call.

While Chloë was at our place, waiting for hospital to call, I took a quick trip to Township 7 and Terravista to collect latest releases. Looking forward to tasting Terravista's to see if there are any changes since Senka and Bob sold. They are building a new home in Naramata so pleased they will still be in town. Also picked up Sarge's order at latter. Not sure when they will be back in Penticton but probably over Christmas, if not before. Must away. Will be in touch as soon as I hear or know more. Stay well. Cheers, Patrizzio! Pics: At Light-Up; Stephen Fearing

Dear Patrick,This email, [Dubh Glas], made me think of you both. I arrived in Vancouver late last night. All is well here apart from the fact that living in a building site is not much fun! More anon. I await news of Chloe’s delivery to her two proud parents. Let’s at least speak soon. Much love to you both, Rosemary XXX

Hi Rosemary and Andre The Giant! Thanks for best wishes. Buona Fortuna with your construction site! Lady Dar and Chloë have been at the hospital since around 4:00 pm yesterday afternoon. When I didn't hear from Lady Dar after hearing from her earlier that evening, I called just before midnight. Both of them were trying to sleep as doctor was busy performing another Caesarean, so Lady Dar didn't think anything would happen before the morning. Wished them both well and sent my love. Took phone to bed and fell asleep quite quickly as it had been a long day, although not as long as for Chloë and Corinne.

While I was waiting for the call last night I decided that since the ladder we used for changing hanging was still in the house I vacuumed the sky-light as there were a few cobwebs I couldn't reach from floor level. Also touched up a small stain with paint Lady Dar had been using on both floorboards and patched holes from disk relocation. Will leave ladder where it is until Lady Dar inspects my work! Cheers, Patrizzio!
