Hi Wild West Show People! Cannot believe how Rowan James is sitting up! What great snaps. He looks like he is riding herd on The Sisterhood, lassoing them to keep them out of Target! A one person posse! Still have not heard from Mike so not sure when drywall will be finished. Perhaps you could text him, Chloë, as we need to start planning for paint, etc. Anyway, must away to prepare my breakfast before heading back to pool.

Fondestos to the Riders of The Purple Sage! Love and Cheers, Dad/Poppa/Patrizzio/Trigger! Hi Patrick We arrive at 7:40 pm on Air Canada Flight 8354. Which leaves Vancouver at 6:45. See you soon! Hugs Cora Lee

50/50 Patrizzio, we will endeavour to attend Tuesday's show. Today, the PV botanical gardens, a walk along the Malecon and dinner at Richard Burton's former home and now the home of a BnB and the infamous Iguana restaurant.
We have been enjoying Mexico but our one week stay is much too short. Home Sunday. Hasta luego, Guillermo. Hi Night of the Iguana People! Nice life indeed! We spent about five years, (late '90's), for two weeks a vacation, in Puerta Vallarta and enjoyed the town, (much smaller and less busy then), immensely. Of late, we have found the adjacent communities of Guayabitos/La Peñita, about an hour north, much quieter and far less commercialized and tourist ridden. Anyway, Puerta Vallarta still has much to offer so pleased you are enjoying life there.

Funnily enough, I have a team of Mezcal hunters working for me in Tinsel Town. At last book club meeting, host, Pam, shared some wonderful Oro de Mezcal her husband had brought back from their vacation there. I'm hoping that The Canadian Connection will bring one back! You might be able to find it in PV but Pam thought it might well only be available in Oaxaca as I gather it is a local specialty product.

Last night, saw The Green Book at Oasis United. Had a lovely visit with Jim and Carol French, [He is one of leaders of hiking group and I assume you know him from PenHi.], so it was a most pleasant evening all around.

As I scribe I'm on hold with Old Age Security, [wait is about an hour!], on speaker phone so I can do something productive while I listen to elevator music! I started my income tax return last week even though I don't have all my slips. For information I was able to include I thought I was to receive around $1,500. When I looked more closely

that is what I owe! Couldn't believe my eyes so scrutinized the slips again and discovered, to my horror, that not a cent's worth of tax had been deducted from my OAS. Last year I paid $2,750.86 as, when first eligible, I asked for more than basic amount to be deducted so that I wouldn't, other things have to pay! Forced savings, of sort. Am really annoyed as I did not receive any notice that deductions, or lack thereof, had changed.

Just made it through to a real person, who was very helpful, I'm pleased to report, and now know what happened. When we sold our rental property in Vancouver, in 2018, we had to pay a fairly hefty chunk of capital gains as it wasn't our principal residence. This being the case, CRA clawed back OAS payments. I appealed on the basis of a one-time occurrence in spike in income and was reinstated, using accumulated, denied benefits, as tax already paid so that was fine. High Roller Lady Dar's appeal was rejected as her retirement income is far more than Michael Bloomberg's advertising budget! Apparently, when OAS pension started to be issued again nothing was deducted since specifying a particular amount is voluntary. Please tell me how was I to know? Your government taxes not working for you! Talk about a Kakfa bureaucracy! Anyway, I've upped the deduction a tad so now I'll have even less folding money to pay tax I'll owe a the end of April! Must away as I need a good glug of Grappa!

Enjoy your last few days strolling The Malecón, fending off proposals for time-shares! Stay well. Look forward to seeing you at The Dream, next Tuesday, if all works out for you. Cheers, Patrizzio!
Hi Cousins, Tinsel Town, et al! Thanks again for the simply wonderful evening! It was a delight to meet your friends, Janet and Laird, and be able to "grill" them! Lady Dar, you missed a fantastic time: the two bottles of wine, [Lake Breeze Pinot Blanc and Mooncurser Syrah], and the delicious entrées, [four of us ordered the Barking Parrot Burger!], served by Chloe, [no ë, Chloë!], perfectly suited the high-energy, spirited performance of the Thursday Night Jazz Band, in fine, fine form. Had fun, at the break, hobnobbing with other GFA as well as Judy Blue and Energizer Bunny Mary Lee! JB was with two of her fellow workers from The Shoreline. Also chatted with Muriel and Gary Hansen. You will remember you introduced me to them at The Dream when we saw Delta Sugar. As well, talked to Justin Glibbery as he was MC/keyboardist for Naramata Choir, Small Groups, at Dream last week. Had fun reminding him about incident in which he had to leap up from his seat to stop an older gentleman, who had finished his number, taking microphone, still attached to a long cord, right off the stage. All in all a wonderful event even though our table didn't win the 50/50, in spite of the fact that our "insider", Marian, was selling tickets! However, still have hope for the Vees' sweater, draw to be made when it is known how team does in next stage of playoffs.

Thanks, of course, Tim, for picking up the tab for the evening! Very, very generous indeed. I plan to sell some of Lady Dar's Imelda footwear, before she returns, so that I can reciprocate next time we are out together! Look forward to seeing you both on Monday. Fondestos and Cheers, Patrizzio! Pics: Barking Parrot People and More!

The pics are so cute. Have you always been a photographer of life? Since lsabella has found the sink. Ben is Also taking owner ship. Since the girl has arrived he is no longer attacking me. Yes I also had a cat with 4 white paws and her name was boots! Anyways Bella is very sweet and loveable and loves to cuddle and purr. She is a nice addition to our family.s he tolerates bens advances But also asserts herself when he bugs her too much.

Well the Vees game was a cliffhanger. They won in overtime. Pandemonium broke out on the ice and in the stands. Those young players were do hdppy and excited to win!! Glad you enjoyed the film. I am off to the grandmother s fund raiser tonight And then work for 2 days See you Monday Looking forward to hearing about the trip to La Judy Xo
Hi Judy Blue! Great to see you and Mary Lee at the Jazz Night, and to meet your two co-workers. My Dad and Uncle Emil always took pictures, [B/W in those days, '50's, and developed, printed their own pictures!], so perhaps I've taken after them, to some degree. Glad you enjoyed snaps but I wasn't too, too happy with the ones I took of your table. Not sure why the flash didn't seem to illuminate faces. Overall, light was either quite poor or too, too harsh in most of the Barking Parrot. Nevertheless, a grand time.
Glad Isabella is sticking up for herself! Hip Hip Hooray The Sisterhood!!! I'm sure the arena was pandemonium. I'll go to the next game, wearing the sweater on auction!!! Great that you can play on Monday and you can ask Lady Dar all about trip. Fondestos and Cheers, Patrizzio!

Money and More! Soooooooooo, get the cash yet? Chris Hi Wall Street Watcher!

Trust you are well. In fact, Lady Dar pursued the matter and it seems as if it has something to do with payment for some lecturing she did at UBC's Library School. Still no word on how much, etc., but I'll need anything she might receive!I assume, with latest precipitous drops in stock market, we are all in for more hard times! Must away as I really need a good glug of Laughing Stock Portfolio! All the best. Stay well. Cheers, Patrizzio!

April 25 & 26 FTFO Smart Energy Expo, Penticton Lakeside Resort, Conference Centre (East ballroom). 10 a.m. - 4 p.m.The two day expo features displays by solar installers, electric vehicle dealers, and home energy specialists. The District of Summerland, City of Penticton, Penticton Indian Band, and Fortis will showcase community energy initiatives. EV owners will show off their Teslas and a variety of makes and models of vehicles and electric bikes will be available to test drive. Talks on a variety of energy topics will be held throughout the two days.

Got an electric car you're proud of and would like to show off? The EV owners display at the Smart Energy Expo will give the public a chance to ask about owning an electric car. Contact Mike Healey to participate. Hi Mike! We own a 2019 eKona so if we can be of any use in the coming April expo please let us know. Thanks and Cheers, Patrizzio!

Hello Patrick By all means. Ev owners talking to people who were thinking about an e-vehicle was a highlight of our event last year. This is a 2 day event, Saturday and Sunday. We don't expect vehicle owners to be there all the time so can you give me an idea when you would like to be present with your car so I can do some scheduling? Best Mike Healey Hi Mike! Thanks for the speedy reply. My wife and daughter, and grandson, will be back, from LA, on Saturday, so I'll find out from them about times we might be able to participate. We share the car with our daughter as she is on maternity leave and doesn't have access to her normal work vehicle. That being said, I'm sure we would be able and happy to do a couple of shifts, one each day, perhaps more, if needed, and schedules fit. In advance, perhaps you could let me know what time commitments look like to help us plan. Thanks and Cheers, Patrizzio!
