Hi OF hikers, This Monday we are venturing up to the twin peaks of Cartwright Mtn., which should be well out of the way of any water courses, and the forecast looks for fine weather. As Pete has started the ball rolling with 8 am starts, I will keep it going. So, meet to carpool at HH Penticton at 07:40, and IGA Summerland at 08:00.
Hope to see you there.
Cheers Tony Thanks for the flowers and cup of tea. Hope you are having a wonderful trip!

Chloe Alexis Dunn Art murals on Granville Island, I miss this place and it’s getting better and better........miss my old hood. @ Granville Island
Thanks for the greeting which I have just opened today as I was in Edmonton for Mother's Day - don't bother with internet when away. Mom is fine - now 96, slowing down but still getting around with her walker. Charlie & Ken look after her well.
Enjoy the spring.
Cheers! Roma
Dear UBC Librarians Emeriti, If you haven’t already done so, and with thanks to those of you that have, please let us know at your earliest convenience if you are planning to attend this year’s luncheon on June 7th. UPDATE – For this year’s luncheon we will have Krisztina Laszlo, Archivist, give a talk and show an exhibit about the Library’s recent acquisition of rare letters written by young Japanese Canadians during World War II. See more information at this link: https://about.library.ubc.ca/2018/04/19/ubc-library-acquires-rare-letters-written-by-young-japanese-canadians-during-world-war-ii/

We hope you can make it. Please rsvp by return e-mail as soon as possible so we can determine catering requirements etc. Thanks in advance, Cheers,Harry

Hi Patrick, A number of people have asked me when Oboe will be available for iBooks and Kobo. I am happy to announce that as of today it is available for iBooks and Kobo (and of course Kindle) for the price of a latte. Thanks for your ongoing interest in the Cal Rogan Mysteries. Best Regards, Robert. Hi All, In case nothing else has been planned, I have a suggestion for this weeks OF hike. I am going camping at Lundbom Lake near Merrit later this week and if there is sufficient interest I could lead a hike in that area on Thursday May 31.

Lundbom lake is a designated Provincial recreational area with beautiful hiking trails through a mixture of grasslands, small lakes and pine forests. It is about a 1.5 hrs drive each way. If we leave from the Summerland IGA by 8:00 AM and hike for 4 hours you should be back in Summerland around 3-4 PM. Please let me know whether you are interested.
Ariane Gavelin They never joined my classes when they had training camp at UBC. So much fun at Canada Games pool for this team! Sara Graefe, Patrick James Dunn, JoJo Santori Allen..so many UBC memories at the pool 💖
Sara Graefe Ha ha, their loss. Ariane Gavelin, your classes were the best! Francine and I still attempt “daffy”s at the Vancouver Aquatic Centre. Ariane Gavelin We had such fun for so many years! Really enjoyed our group. Big hugs to you and Francine💖
Hi folks, The DMCI Music Department is doing a special end-of-year show at the WECC June 15 with the DMCI Funk Band - and we want as many DMCI Alumni from around town to be there! They've learned two sets of funk and soul music, and sound amazing! Stevie Wonder, Michael Jackson, Bruno Mars - you name it! There will be room to dance, stand, or sit and watch - whatever you feel like doing 😊
