Toshi Takes on The KVR and The Naramata Bench Blues: Sunday, February 12th!

Be ashamed to die until you have won some victory for humanity. -Horace Mann, educational reformer (1796-1859)

Hello Motorized Mary Lee and Pennzoil Paolo! Just a quick note to thank you both for such a grand and glorious evening on Friday! The food and wine and malt were fabulous indeed, as was the scintillating company. (I certainly enjoyed the wonderful wonton soup on Saturday, so thanks for the doggy bag!) I trust we will see everyone again, in the not too, too distant future. Until then, take care of each other and stay well. Fondestos from Lady Dar to one and all. Thanks again. Cheers, Patrizzio!

Hi! Patrizzio & Corinne: Thanks for the nice pics, Mr Photographer. You are very welcome!!! Glad to hear that you enjoyed the birthday dinner party & early 40th Ann. celebration with our friends. Glad that you enjoyed meeting our friends Pat & Lora (again) and Bill & Rita. We always have lots of fun & laughter when we get together. Many Thanks, Corinne for the delicious & yummy birthday which we all loved. Lora would like the recipe when you have a chance to send it to me since she has food allergies too.

Thanks for hosting Mah Jong on Friday. We had a great turnout and all the gals are really enjoy our Friday afternoon games day. Have a good trip to see your parents and I wish your Mom well on her upcoming eye surgery. I will be gone Mar. 1 till Apr. 12th. Will see U when I'm back home. You will have to come over for a walk along the KVR trail and then come & enjoy a glass of wine on the deck afterwards. Cheers!! Mary Lee :-)

Hello Floridians! Sorry that it has taken me so long to say hello and inquire as to your time in sunnier, warmer climes! I trust all goes well. Busy time here but no complaints.

After Lady Dar returned from Oasis this morning, we took a spin to The Naramata to show Toshi a bit of the local scenery. Went all the way to Indian Rock and then stopped at Legend to have a bit of a tasting. Who should be there but Shana and Gavin as well as Lisa and John from Front Street Brassiere. They had been there for lunch and so we enjoyed catching up with both couples as we'd not seen either of them since the winemaker's dinner in November. Sitting at the bar, we started chatting to a young woman and she turned out to be a wedding planner, Jillian Buchanan. At Dom Jugo's birthday dinner, Lady Dar connected with our server who is the daughter of Jillian's business partner. Lady Dar had sent them an email but never heard back. At any rate, Gillian was delighted to learn more about Have Bible, Will Travel, Weddings to Go in The Sunny, Wine-Soaked Okanagan, the text on the marriage officiant's new business card! I was pleased as she paid for drinks, planning to write them off as business expenses!

Stopped at Upper Bench on way home and really, really liked the 2016 Riesling, 12.5%, just released, I gather. Wonderful acidity balanced with a luscious mouthful of tropical fruit. Sipping a glass as I scribe while Toshi-San and Lady Dar are watching the Grammy Awards. Must away as I'm to make a salad to go with the two pizzas Lady Dar has sizzling in the oven. Fondestos from The Bible Thumper, who just repatriated the Riesling, (Delicioso indeed!), to you both and who also requested a 2012 Poplar Grove Merlot, 14.3%! Cheers, Patrizzio!

Thanks for link to Tamara. Much appreciated. Cheers, Patrizzio! Pics: Freeloadersa in Penticton! Etta waves goodbye!

Hi Spumoni! Trust you are well. Haven't heard form you in a few days so wanted to say hello. Are you planning on playing bridge on Wednesday, at Josinta's? Fondestos from Lady Dar. Cheers, Patrizzio!

Hi Jillian! Lovely to bump into you this afternoon. I know Lady Dar will be in touch, at some point, but wanted to send along the snap. Trust we'll see you again, in the not too, too distant future. Cheers, Patrizzio! Pic: The Legendary Sisterhood at Legend!

Hi Cockeyed Optimist! Trust you and your Gal, Sal, are well. Lady Dar will be in Winnpeg on the 14th, then to Falcon. All the best from Etta and Duke to the denizens of Wildwood Park. Cheers, Patrizzio!
