Sendero Girl and Rosita Back to Burns Blues: Tuesday, October 9th!

If you want to know what God thinks of money, just look at the people he gave it to. -Dorothy Parker

Dear Pat, I can’t keep up with your social connections. You also seem to have an affinity for lying in hospital beds recuperating from one trauma or another, or is this simply by accident? Anyway, take it easy, look after yourself and please say hi to Corrine from us. As promised, here’s a photo of our grandson Kellan, this time walking hand-in-hand with a girl named Zheyla.

Hi again, Filmer! Glad you are feeling well enough to send a message. My affinity for hospital beds varies in direct proportion to the amount of arsenic Lady Dar puts in my wee dram of malt! Rained extremely heavily last night but seems to be brightening up and drying out now so am hoping I might even go for a ride before we attend an all mayoral candidates meeting, (municipal election coming up), this evening. Need you here to ask some pointed, uncomfortable questions! Fondestos from Lady Dar, off running errands, probably looking for a different arsenic supplier so as to throw off police investigation! Cheers, Patrizzio, Yummy Yummy Yummy/I've a Pain in my Tummy!

Bom dia Patrizio and Corinne—It looks as though your Thanksgiving at Burns Street was a lovely event. Sorry we missed it … especially all the yummy-sounding food! We’re both still pretty jet-lagged. It was a l-o-n-g way to go for just two weeks, but really worth it fun-and-entertainment wise. We, as always on these adventures, met some very compatible travelling companions, saw some great sites/sights, and overindulged in good food and wine. We’ll fill you in on all the details when next we get together. Are you all free to join us for dinner in The Naramata this weekend—Saturday or Sunday? Hope to see you all then. Cheers for now, Lynnie XO

Hello Switzerland! Trust everyone is well. Fondestos from Lady Dar, just off to run a few errands, to Nadienka, Anna Maria Tremonte and Rudi Rudenheimer. Cheers, Patrizzio! Hello Turkey Bidders! Trust everyone is  well and enjoyed a wonderful Thanksgiving. Lady Dar and I would like to host the game, tomorrow evening, in great good part because Rosie- the-Riveter, [my long-suffering mother-in-law], is flying out from Winnipeg, with Chloë, back for Thanksgiving, this evening and it will be easier for her if we play here. With her, we have three players so let me know who will be attending and we'll plan accordingly. Thanks and Cheers, Patrizzio!

Hello Wedding Planners, or might I say, Wedding Bankers! Trust everyone is well. Congratulations on coming wedding! Lady Dar is happy to fly down to perform ceremony! I sent a message on August 28th but had no reply so am wondering if you didn't receive it. Fondestos from Lady Dar to her favourite Sonomans. Cheers, Patrizzio! Hello Three Bears! Trust everyone is well. Hope your Thanksgiving was as wonderful as ours. Fondestos from Lady Dar to her favourite Kentonites. Cheers, Goldilocks, aka, Patrizzio!

Hi Pat and Corinne, We had a very busy Thanksgiving Weekend with Niki and Nigel, as well as, Kevin and Deb's families. We face timed Leah, Masen and Alex as they were not able to come home, but at least we were able to joke around and catch up with them. Congrats on being great grandparents. We'll become grandparents in February, too! Leah's due date is Feb. 23rd. We did up a baby pool for the sex, date and weight. Leah and Masen did the big reveal to us after we'd all entered our guesses. It turns out that our first grandchild will be a boy. She showed us the ultra-sound and it was so clear. The technology is so amazing now. We are all very excited and can't wait to see them at Christmas, if all goes well and she can fly. This year, we should have all the kids for Christmas and my family. Ruth

Hi Little White and Grumpoid Extraordinaire! What wonderful news! Please convey our best wishes and congratulations to Leah and Masen. Lady Dar is already making strategic marriage plans, (Comes from watching Victoria!), to align The House of Durston/Prince with That of House Squamish. [Sounds like Game of Thrones!] Then Ricardo will truly have an excuse to be grumpy with me, as a family member by marriage, not just superior bridge bidding skills! Collected Rosita and Chloë from the airport tonight. Plane was on time so we were home by shortly after midnight. Clarisse looks simply wonderful and the two flights had gone well. She loved the new kitchen. We are hosting bridge tomorrow evening so looking forward to introducing her to the rest of group. Fondestos from Lady Dar to you and The Cantankeroid. Cheers, Patrizzio! Yes, that does sound like a grand idea! Can you imagine it? Say a big "Hi" to Clara and Chloe for us, and of course Lady Dar. Enjoy your bridge evening!

As mentioned, great to have Rosita here and I just finished putting the stock I prepared, yesterday, into our slow cooker, adding other ingredients and spices, following Clara's instructions! Lovely day today so I'm planning to head out on my road bike shortly. Fondestos from Lady Dar, out running errands at the moment. All the best. With her, we have three players so let me know who will be attending an we'll plan accordingly. Fondestos from Lady Dar, to one and all. Cheers, Patrizzio!
