Flamin' and The On-Going Freeloader Blues: Tuesday, February 19th!

Journalism is printing what someone else does not want printed: everything else is public relations. -Anonymous (often misattributed to George Orwell)

Hi, I just transferred $100 to joint acct. The Telus bill is due on the 22nd and It is $187. You and Chloe must have watched some movies. Please transfer $100 too. Saw Lynette yesterday at yoga and for brunch with Agneta. I will go over to San Pancho on Saturday for music festival that night and then go to the polo club on Sunday for lunch and to watch the polo. She joins me on Tuesday for the last 2 nights here. Went to book club with Agneta yesterday and will go to an art exhibit by one of the book club members tonight with Agneta. [Thanks for card, Patrick. Hope all is well with you. Agneta]

Overcast and actually rained in the early morning hours. It is forecast to be cloudy all day and high of 23 and then back to sunshine tomorrow. Which is good as that is when Kjell and Jane are coming for the night. Just listening to the radio CBC1 Kelowna and hear it is -8 and going to snow again. Hearing about the measles outbreak in Vancouver. Also had email from Michele. Understand she is coming for dinner. She sounds very fragile with her concussion. Thinking of you all, Love you Cora Lee

Hello Hand-out Girl! We weren't watching any stinkin' movies but shopping for more shoes for you based on infomercials we've become addicted to! At any rate, I've transferred the funds so you can buy more art at exhibition you will attend this evening! Polo! Lady Dar is revisiting her roots in the Raj! Measles outbreak is pretty serious and I cannot believe how many parents haven't had their children vaccinated. Just heard one distraught mother, interviewed by phone, on the radio, talking about her infant son, [family is in isolation], who is at very, very serious risk of terrible complications or death, as a result of possibly being infected by non-vaccinated children.

Flamin's condition is very worrying of course. Hope to learn more this evening. Just her and Chloë as I didn't think entire crew needed to be along. She's doing enough with The Terrible Twosome as it is and she probably needs a break. She sounded pleased when I said invitation was for her alone.

Had a very pleasant evening with just Dianna, Susannah and Anna. Two tables feel apart when Olga Polga said she couldn't play. Her condition, [torn muscle in her neck, before Christmas], seems to be more serious than first thought so she is quite concerned, it goes without saying. Anyway Jos bowed out as did Judy Blue. Etta put on a performance for ladies, "attacking" rug between counters, rolling around and chewing corners. Had to shoo El Diablo off counter as he was very, very interested in Nancy's paté and one of Norbert's sausages! He has slept beside me on dark blanket for last two nights, Etta snuggled up beside me, closer to my head, so guess you can stay in Mexico!

As soon as I've had a bite of breakfast I'm heading to the pool for more deep-water walking and then will do a bit of shopping for dinner this evening. Sorry to hear that we will have more snow as sidewalks and driveway are clear and dry. However, I don't think it will be more than a fairly light amount so probably be able to sweep it away.

On another matter had a note from Colleen so thought I'd send it to you before I reply. Or, you can send her a message as I don't know exact details of visit from Rosemary and Andre.

Thanks for the cute card Pat. We could definitely use a beach right now...just back from the frigid valley where we spent the weekend dealing with frozen pipes and a cracked toilet from the minus 20 temperatures that they experienced up there during the last couple weeks. Needless to say it was less than relaxing dealing with the issues around this and without water for the first day and a half...luckily we were able to melt snow on the woodstove to use for cooking and washing dishes. Hope you are well. Was wondering if Easter weekend might work for a visit for you and Corinne to the valley. Not sure if Al mentioned we have put our rental place up for sale but would love you to see it before some lucky bastard buys it. Do let us know. Lotsa Love Marilyn xoxo

Also had a note from Tim over a post on Facebook about some silly Vegimite chips and I made a comment about wanting some and so he replied asking for our address and then I had a friend request from David, in Canberra! Haven't had a whisper for years, as you know, so curious to learn what turns his life has taken. See from his profile he is married so whether he is still with Phillip, I don't know.

Must away to fry some oniones for my fabulous bean concoctione. Extra propulsion for deep-water walking! Hello to all your fellow tourist companiones. Much love to you, Imelda! Cheers, Patrizzio! Pics: Etta and Duke yesterday morning when Lou came to pick me up for snowshoe outing to Idleback. Fab time and album to come. Stay tuned!
Thanks for the cash! We are going to Spirit Ridge and at the moment Rosemary and Andre are joining us at Easter so won’t work for then to see Colleen & Al.
Reading The Last Man by Jane Harper. Did you read The Dry by her? Really great reading and captures the rural life. Have a good visit with Michele. Hugs C
Could you buy a dozen rosemary focaccia buns and freeze them? Love Cora Lee

Hello Walla Artisan Fiend! I've been struggling to empty freezers ever since you left and now you want to fill them up again and you are not even here! Did you want gluten free, rosemary focaccia buns?

Had a grand evening with Flamin', [She brought a wonderful 2015 Church & State Syrah, 14.4%], and Chloë, [She just bought her appetite for food and drink!], over for dinner. Poor Michele has to dope herself up with Tylenol, I think, or some-such, as she is in so much discomfort. I prepared my own variation of paella, using frozen shrimp for above-mentioned freezers! From all accounts it was very tasty. Not a grain of rice left as Chloë took the overlefts home. We watched The Wife, while eating, and enjoyed it immensely so I've no funds for foccacia! You better put more money in joint account!

With respect to Easter, did you send a message to Colleen? Saw Gordon, (Bill's uncle), at pool yesterday. He is a regular swimmer, like Bill. He is well and asked after you. Found out from Rita, [at Dream Café a few weeks ago], that he has a new girlfriend, thirty years younger!

Just to let you know that both you and Chloë have been displaced in Duke's affections as he snuggled down in Flamin's lap last night during the movie! This being the case I erased all of The Young and the Useless! Fondestos to one and all, whether Canucks or Swedes, and much Love to you, my Walla Walla Wonderful Woman! Cheers, Patrizzio/Dad! Pics: Blanket and New Lap!

Patrick, thank you for the Valentine's card. I hope that you were the recipient of some Valentine chocolate. Looking forward to catching up Thursday evening at Book Club. Did you know that Peter and Lynne Lighthall sold their house in Naramata? Hi Pamela! Just wanted to thank you again for lovely bottle of Cabernet from Paso Robles! As well, forgot to mention that we did know about Lighthall's sale of their home. Had a message from Lynne, in Palm Desert, informing us that they need to be out by end of May and their place in Victoria won't be ready until end of July, if then! Fondestos and Cheers, Patrizzio!

Sending love and hugs to a wonderful friend and of course all his family too!
Hopefully you enjoyed your Valentines Day this year and stayed nice and warm!! I see Corinne is managing to have no shortage of lovely warm weather while we have one last run at ski season and winter weather. I can't complain.... somebody has to enjoy the mountains! More snow shovelling tomorrow...
xoxo Ariane
Hi Ariane! Pleased you enjoyed the card and thanks for the wishes. Still enjoying some wonderful, wonderful outings! Fondestos and Cheers, Patrizzio!
