Let it Snow, Let it Snow, Let t Snow Blues: Tuesday, February 12th!

It will not do to investigate the subject of religion too closely, as it is apt to lead to infidelity. -Abraham Lincoln, 16th US President (12 Feb 1809-1865)

Hello Lady Dar! Sorry to hear about Rosita. Obviously, have to wait until test results are in. Snowing like crazy here. Started last night and hasn't stopped since. Once I finish this I'm off to shovel. Fortunately, it's fluffy and light.

Enjoyed two full tables last night at Josinta's. Michaelo is back so it was great to see him. Poor Olga Polga is still suffering. I didn't realize that she had torn a muscle in her neck, quite a bit before she went to Mexico, and it is continuing to give her a tremendous amount of discomfort. [Snowshoeing didn't help, I'm sure!] She left about half an hour before rest but Dummy moved for a few hands so it was fine. Are you going to buy a ticket for SOWTS St Patrick's Day event? I thought it would be fun. Hope my shoulder will allow me to attend. If not, you can take Stormin'! He enjoyed it last time. Must away as snow-plow calls. Love and Cheers, Patrizzio!Pics: Kittens are missing you terribly, as am I, Duhlink!

I’m worried about mom. The pain she is having doesn’t sound good. Another sunny day here. The governor is visiting to day so the streets of La Peñita downtown where being washed and a tent was put up. They were painting the floor of the tent at 10 am and I think the governor was coming at 11 am. Hopefully he won’t stick to it.

Carol and Bruno are going to meet friends from Quebec for Mexican as in time lunch. I will go down and get a BBQ’d chicken and some wine and tomatoes for my supper. I’m sleeping quite well but the noise has been bothering Carol.
The St. Patrick’s Day event is awfully close to your surgery. I will get a ticket if you are going to get one. Let me know for sure! Lynette was at airport with a 2 hr delay. Don’t know where she is flying from.
Agneta’s daughter-in-law, Suyin, and granddaughter, Shani, are here. Suyin couldn’t get a visa from outside her home to get back into China after spending 4 months elsewhere. Kjell sounded sad that he wasn’t invited to go with Jane. I’m missing you too, I’m sure cats won’t even know who I am when I get back. Thanks for all the pictures, Love, Lady Dar You sound like Toshi has never been to Penticton. Sorry that I will miss her visit. Give her lots of love from me. C

Hi A Jug of Wine, A BBq'd Chicken and a Tomatoe Person! Did the governor stick to the tent floor? sorry to hear Chooch can't sleep. Maybe she should stay in the tent! Too bad about Suyin but I guess Agneta is pleased to Shani. Does she charge them both rent? My take was that Kjell wasn't all that fussed about not being invited but who knows. I will order a ticket for St Patrick's Day event. If I'm in pain, whisky will help and you will be the chauffeur for following six weeks so I get to bark out orders! Must away as fire needs another log and then I going to have my salad while watching another episode of Bordertown. You'll never catch up!!! Hee Hee! Fondestos to my darlingest Darling. Love and Cheers, Polar Patrizzio! What happened to Suyin? Confusing when we don't have the prior love letters from your Mexican Runaway Wife!! Runaway Wife seems to have difficulty addressing messages!

Nothing has happened she just can’t get a visa to China except from her home country so she came to Mexico to do that. They spent the last 4 months in India and Maylasia. Ezra had a hernia operation in hospital in Mayasia and recovery there. He ended up having to go back and having more surgery to correct problems. Anyway they are here for about 3 weeks. Living in house next door to Agneta as she does not have a guest bedroom. Cheers all—off to read. Hugs
Mom aka Lady Dar

Hello Ladies: Just sending update on your mom. Last weekend your mom was experiencing a sore back. She later advised she was having pain in her side (for 3 days) and as a result contacted the specialist who she recently saw. She was able to relieve some discomfort by burping/lower gas. Colonoscopy is now scheduled for Friday February 15th @ Seven Oakes Hospital. George will bring her in Thursday afternoon. Her and I will stay overnight @ Canada Inns near hospital. Friday night will stay in city @ Marlo’s just in case she were to have any problems we would be only 10 minutes away from hospital. I believe she is feeling a bit better but is taking Tylenol as per specialist for discomfort. Will send another update after colonoscopy is done. Barb This is definitely worrying. How is mom taking it? Thanks for the update and keeping us all in the loop. Hugs Corinne Mom, you didn't include Barb on this so she can't answer your question. Ayn xoxo Oops. Thanks Mom

Sorry no internet for 5 days. Here is latest re Mar. Love Nana Hi Mar met with her oncologist this past Tuesday. Although the CT scan did not show any new spots a few were a bit larger or darker (liver, rib, arm). Not what DR was hoping but he says it means changing current treatment plan. No longer taking daily hormone pill (Tomoxifin) will continue with every 3 week hormone injection @ cancer care however it will now be mixed with a chemo drug. He said this mixed combination has had some good results as it goes directly to the problem sites. Should start it shortly. A common side effect is about a day and a half of fatigue. Hopefully she has no reactions and it does the job. Mar continues to show strength and a positive attitude!! Will keep you in the loop. Barb

Hi Patrick, Hope you’re enjoying the cold. It’s unseasonably cool here this year, but still pretty nice. The attached might interest you as a no-stress introduction to duplicate bridge. Eileen Currier is a leading member of the Penticton club. Cheers, Peter Hi Palm Desert Coolish Folk! I had heard from Lynne that weather was not as warm as one might wish but I think you are pleased that you are missing Polar Vortex here! Just in from shoveling walks and driveway and we are actually starting to have real snowbanks! Was snowing like crazy this morning. Started last night and hadn't stopped when I went out but did before I was finished. Fortunately, it was light and fluffy, not like about a month ago, or so, when it was so wet that the shovel produced a "log" with each full thrust!

Thank you for notice about Oliver. I had already heard as a few weeks ago, when I was playing at the Anglican Church in Summerland, with Josinta, tournament was announced. I forget the name of the lady who runs this event but I recognized her from a similar number of events at the Blue Church in Penticton. I'm planning to attend but not sure with whom I might partner with at this time. I just hung up phone to ask Michaelo if he might be interested but he'll be in Cuba then. Ann Brown, fairly new to group, is a good player and I'm planning to approach her next. We have loads of fun when we play together. She was my opponent on last hand of night and with three passes to her she bid 3 NT as she said that is what her Mom always said to do. She made 4 NT, my kind of goil!

Are you going to buy a ticket for SOWTS St Patrick's Day event? I think it will be fun. Hope my shoulder will allow me to attend. Whether it will or not, I'll go! Lady Dar will attend as well. Must away as fire needs another log. Fondestos to you both. Cheers, Polar Patrizzio! Pics: Lady Dar with blossoms; snow banks and Top Hat Chimney Service. Had arranged for Al to come and put a new cap on chimney. He said it was something to consider when he cleaned the chimney in early December. He was away all of January so today was first opportunity he had. Duke was quite "worried" about ladder in front of window!
