Freeloaders Line-up for The Burns Street Base Camp Blues: Thursday, July 20th!

The most valuable possession you can own is an open heart. The most powerful weapon you can be is an instrument of peace. -Carlos Santana, musician (b. 20 Jul 1947)

Up at 6:34 am when Soccer Star began agitating for a game! Miss Etta was quite content to continue sleeping, snuggled up against Lady Dar's feet but joined Duke when I opened the front door. Quite cool this morning and sky is clear, once again, so smoke seems to be dissipating. In pretty good shape to receive the first round of Freeloaders this evening: Sarge and Jonathan, with his girlfriend. Flamin' is flying in at 6:15 pm so we've planned dinner for around 7:00 pm.

I could not remember when you said it was your birthday. Just got back from camping/biking so hope you had a good day. Perhaps we can do a pot luck sometime as an after birthday celebration. Hope to see you next week at bridge. hugs from Gill Hi Gill, my birthday was on Wednesday. Had a great day, dinner out which was nice. Bridge was fun. When are you guys available next week?
Hugs Corinne Corinne, Phil and I are okay any day next week except Monday and Thursday night. Tues would be the preferred night and we can host. We'll talk about your post birthday event at bridge. See you soon Gill 😊

Hi Corrine, Liisa and Pat, I've been in touch with our small circle of friends in Penticton to see if we can connect while we are visiting: Ernie Ingles, Hal Whyte, Hazel Fry, Leighton McCarthy (whose sister and brother in law are visiting). Based on their availability, here is a draft itinerary for your consideration:

Friday Aug 11th - lunch on the Naramata Bench (possibly Lake Breeze) preceded and/or followed by dropping in on a few wineries including Kanazawa, Joie Farm...: Paul/Joan/Liisa/Leighton + his sister & bro in law and maybe Hal & Hazel/Pat & Corrine; Friday Aug 11th - dinner at Corrine & Pat's prepared by the Vancouver visitors with Lynn & Peter as possible guests; Sunday Aug 13 - dinner at Miradora; Paul/Joan/Liisa/Hal/Hazel/Ernie/Pat & Corrine... Let me know if you don't want to participate in the Fri lunch and/or the Sunday dinner - hoping you can. Just listening to the CBC and they are reporting on a West Bench fire outside Penticton - it sound like it has been contained and subdued. Scary stuff. Talk soon....Paul

Hi C&P: We are going to climb aboard the early bus to Penticton, (basically there were no seats left on the later bus). We arrive at 1PM. Hope it still suits you to pick us up, alternatively we can hang out in beautiful main street Penticton and make our way to your place when it suits you. Cheers, K
