Pénélope & MadCap and La Robe et Le Palais Luncheon Blues: Thursday, October 10th!

When small men begin to cast big shadows, it means that the sun is about to set. -Lin Yutang, writer and translator (10 Oct 1895-1976)

Dear Shattered and Chauffeured Mad Cap! You'll obviously need your Paris getaway! Looking forward to seeing you both at La Robe et Le Palais. today. Both of us are curious as to when/how you are arriving in Paris. At any rate you can fill us in over a glass of wine!

Up at just before 8:00 am even though Lady Dar's iPad alarm started beeping at 7:00 am! She had set it to make sure we were up in Chabeuill last Saturday. It had not gone off as the battery was not charging. That was rectified yesterday when we visited an Apple store on Place de l'Opéra, and she purchased a new adapter/charger. We visited Pigalle to make sure we knew where to find the Moulin Rouge, [Blanche Metro stop], and strolled past your Ibis. Luxury, Sheer Luxury! Anyway, I set off to fetch our morning tea and coffee only to learn that the places I bought our eye-openers from yesterday didn't open until 8:30 am! Found this quite surprising but nothing to do but return to our room to send a few messages. Still no hair-dryer available so Lady Dar is not amused!

We plan to arrive at Châtelet a couple of hours before lunch as Lady Dar has plans for all the €'s burning a hole in her pocket! She claims she was unable to spend enough time at les Galeries Lafayette when at l'Opéra! Fondestos to you both from her. Cheers, Patrizzio! Kevin and I stayed at the Ibis by the Moulin Rouge as well. Lively area if Montmarte. Judi Bonjour Patrice  We are sitting in the sun having a beer outside cafe vigouroux in rue des halles not far from the restaurant . Join us if you can xx

Hi High-End Ibis People! Great lunch and grand to see you both. Tryst you are well rested for tonight! Will one of you meet us in the lobby or tell Reception to let us in? Our Ibis requires a key card to go up in elevator. I assume you may not have a phone sinc eyou are graced with a chair! See you at 9:30 pm, one way or 'tother! Fondestos from Lady Dar just out to get some Chinese take-away for a bite before we leave. Had some last night and it was very, very tasty. Cheers, Patrizzio!
