World Rugy and The Glasgow Blues: Sunday, October 27th!

It is a curious thing that every creed promises a paradise which will be absolutely uninhabitable for anyone of civilized taste. -Evelyn Waugh, novelist (28 Oct 1903-1966)

Abandoned trapper's cabin in Sunshine Valley!
We arrived on Sunday afternoon after stopping in Sunshine Valley to have lunch with friends, Colleen and Al, [Burns Street Bistro sign was from them, just a day before Donna Florida and Cactus arrived!], and then on into Vancouver to stay at Elaine's place on 7th and Bayswater. That evening we walked over to near Kits Pool to have dinner with Matt and Catherine, just back from a month in Japan as Matt wanted to attend about four World Cup Rugby matches! Lovely dinner and actually watched the to-semi final games, [recorded], with Glasgow while The Sisterhood discussed plans Catherine has for their new condo. They've only been in possession for two months, one of which was in Japan, so loads Catherine wishes to change. She will start without Matt as he was off to The Canary Islands, next morning, for ten days to go hiking with fellow classmates from medical school!

Hi, Patrick: I confirmed with Karen that she can join us. She doesn't want a late night, especially as she has a long commute home on transit (to North Burnaby), although the B-Line is close to the venue, which will be helpful. We'll endeavour to arrive shortly after 5 p.m. and Karen may not stay for the duration (leave around 8-8:30 p.m.) Hopefully, we can get in a few hands of bridge before her departure. J. Hi HH Woman! Sounds just fine. Looking forward to evening and seeing you both! Cheers, Patrizzio! PS: In answer to your question: "Hedgehogs. Why can't they just share the hedge?" Because they are just too, too prickly about allowing others into their preferred domain! I assume that I am 1 of the 7. Sarge. Yes and No, you are now 1 of 8! See you tomorrow evening. Cheers, Patrizzio!

My plan is still to bring a bit of sushi for an appy. Hope that is OK. A salad and rice would probably go with the chicken. Was just a suggestion if anyone was wondering what to bring. Polly Janet I think we should just send Pat for take-out. I am bringing a Greek salad. Branko Hi Penguin, et al! The more raw fish the better! I'll have a small iceberg waiting, [They are all melting anyway, Green Mick!], to keep the sushi cool, and Ragin' can chip off a few pieces for the two new malts I plan to pick up at Legacy! See everyone later tomorrow afternoon/early evening! Cheers, Patrizzio "I Spit on Global Warming" along with Donald the Denier!Pic: Glasgow watching recorded semi-final, Britain vs NZ, this evening!

I'd like to join the gang for breakfast this coming Friday so if there is still space please put me down. Lady Dar will not, unfortunately, be able to attend. At any rate, let me know, when you have a moment,  and I'll plan accordingly. Thanks and Cheers, Patrizzio! See you there. Cheers, Jim
Our power is out so communications limited. Bet Coffaro evacuated. Any news?
Oak trunk blew onto our rood 2 hours ago. Huge roar, house shook Believe damage to have been minimal but can't say for sure. All four of us are fine.
Cactus Wow! Hope you stay safe. On our way to Vancouver for a few days.
Have not heard about David and Pat. Terrible fire storms but no climate emergency according to our world leaders. Hugs Corinne
