Wild Cat Easter Football Blues:: Sunday, April 16th!

What wisdom can you find that is greater than kindness? -Jean Jacques Rousseau, philosopher and author (1712-1778)

Happy Easter to such dear friends and greatly missed, far-flung family! We send heartfelt thoughts, to all, for renewal and compassion and certainly joy in the wonder of reawakening life. Fond regards, Corinne and Patrick!

A happy season to you two too....Cheers Brenda, Wally and Pic  Hi Brenda Louise! Thanks for your groovy card and good wishes! Fondestos to you both, (and to Pic, from Etta and Duke), from Lady Dar. Cheers, Patrizzio!

Patrick and Corinne, Thank you for stopping by yesterday afternoon. Thank you also for the bottle of bubbles from 8th Generation. It's such a pretty colour and so tasty. Duncan's girlfriend, Amanda, leaves this afternoon so we plan to visit a couple of wineries south of Penticton starting late this morning. It's nice to have a sunny day to show off where we live. Happy Easter! Pam Glad you enjoyed the 8th Generation! Your home is looking wonderful, you must be so pleased with all your hard work. See you soon Best Corinne

Hi Hot Tub People!Thanks for yesterday's lovely visit! Terrific to see your more than terrific place and wonderful to meet Amanda and Duncan, Megan and Matt. Trust you had fun tasting before Amanda's flight today. We enjoyed a lovely dinner last night. Even managed to play a quick rubber of bridge before meal. Jack Rabbit and Phillipo came over at 4:00 pm and we played until Amanada, our next door neighbour, [not Duncan's amore!], and her daughter, Kayla, joined us for turkey & stuffing, twice-baked cauliflower, garlic new potatoes, baked butternut squash and a fresh beet, with haloumi, salad. Jack Rabbit made a delicious fruit trifle so we certainly feasted! Easter Rabbit brought some scrumptious chocs which didn't last long, unfortunately!

Weather might cooperate tomorrow so hope to go for a ride. Sorry we won't see you at bridge this week but I'm sure we'll bump into you, at some point. Fondestos to you and unceasingly, hard-working William, from Lady Dar. Cheers, Patrizzio! Pics: Dame Judith and Leslie;

Mayan Riviera Hola! Greetings from Playa del Carmen. Arrived here late Thursday evening. Checked in, and went for a Brazilian meat feast. Then it was off to the poolside bar and margaritas. Lots track of how many, but they were good! Right now we are on our balcony listening to the sea and having a nightcap. Colin Hola Playa del Carmen People! Sounds of the sea, sipping Margaritas! Wow! What a life! For our part, have to console ourselves with wine-tasting! Fondestos to you both from a green-with-envy Lady Dar. Enjoy your Mexican getaway. Travel safely. Cheers, Patrizzio!

Had a busy morning readying the house for our Easter dinner. Jack Rabbit had phoned about 9:30 am to ask if we wanted to play bridge beforehand and since we did, Lady Dar asked them to come at 4:00 pm so that we could play a few hands before Amanda and Kayla arrived at 5:00 pm.  By the time we'd set up the dinner table and readied the turkey it was time to drop Lady Dar off at Oasis. While she was at the Easter service, I had to pick up some cheese for the double-baked cauliflower, as well as some chocolate. When back home I did a bit of vacuuming before returning to collect her. Once home I suited up and took off. With the wind  out of the N at 10 kph I knew I wanted to make a quick run to Crescent Beach so that I would have it pushing me along on homeward bound leg. Did just that and was really pleased that I was able to "squeeze" in such a decent outing and AVG in the time I had at my disposal.

Back by3:15 pm to find Lady Dar on the phone, chatting to Patrizzio The Younger, from Oslo. He had called to wish us Happy Easter so I had a quick chat before I jumped into the shower. As it was, I was still toweling off when The Spiller Road Folk arrived. As soon as I was dressed and suitably perfumed, I greeted them and we enjoyed an hour of bridge before dinner. Couldn't have asked for a better reward, after the invigorating, most enjoyable ride. Cheers!
