Back on the Bike, (Almost), Blues: Friday, March 23rd!

Understanding a person does not mean condoning; it only means that one does not accuse him as if one were God or a judge placed above him. -Erich Fromm, psychoanalyst and author (23 Mar 1900-1980)

Bella Vineyards “Can I be so bold as to ask for one more tasting?!" “Can you Hear me?"

Hi Lynn, et al! Glad you enjoyed the card! Trust you, (and everyone), are well. In fact, I was at Dram. Guess we simply missed one another. Too, too bad as I bumped into Joan, Paul and Brenda. For my part I had a grand, grand time and came away with a print, from the Silent Auction, that Lady Dar approved of muchly! [She was not down this time.] As well, I was able to pick up a bottle of Glenfarclas 105, Cask Strength, 60%, not available at the fund-raiser shop, but at Legacy, next day.

Have been very busy ever since returning to Penticton on February 25th, [We were away in California, Costa Rica, {for a month}, and Arizona, having left day after Boxing Day, driving to LA. Visited with Lynne and Peter in Palm Desert, for two nights, when back from CR, then on to Sun City and Sedona and then back to LA before heading home.] We will spend Easter weekend at Spirit Ridge, along with Famiglia Sutherland, our first stay in the recreational property, (Fractional Condo!), we purchased this past November. [Another reason to visit and stay in Luxury! Sheer Luxury!!] Then, I'm off to Europe for three months, flying to Paris on April 16th. Will participate in two, two-week, small guided bike tours, [Moravia, in Czech Republic, and then out of Krakow. Latter with friend, Matt, from Vancouver.] Back on July 10th, in time for Folk Fest. Already have our tickets. Then a right shoulder replacement on July 26th, so please come to help with my convalescence as I won't be able to use a corkscrew!

Must away as I want to go for a ride while sun is still shining. Am trying to log as much distance as I can before leaving, in preparation for riding in Europe, although I'm not particularly worried about daily distances, 35-65 km. Fondestos from Lady Dar, in absentia, staffing the Info Desk at Penticton General, her usual volunteer shift when we are in town, All the best to you, Lynn, and everyone else. Please be in touch about a visit as we'd love to see everyone. Cheers, Patrizzio!

Pics; Dram; Dinner, with Rhoda MacCormick, [We went for two fabulous rides on the KVR, Liisa, and she didn't complain about my bike!!!], this past Sunday. She was a Student Assistant at the Curric Lab, in 1978! She now lives in Cape Breton and was in Hawaii, on holiday, with her husband Ron, who flew back to Sydney, while she stayed to visit friends and family in BC. First bike trip.

Fondestos from Lady Dar, in absentia, playing Mah Jong, while I attempt to accomplish the endless list of chores she left for me to do before Gilliana collected her for game. What lives The Sisterhood live!

Dear Patrick Thanks so much for your email and pictures. So sorry about your friend Ted. It was good that you could attend his celebration of life. We do need to celebrate all we can--we are so fortunate. Really appreciated the pictures of Mark and Colin from the Wee Dram. They seemed to enjoy it. Also liked the picture of Ski, Corinne and Chloe. The bike ride photos of you and Ski were scenic but you did look cold.

Your Easter weekend sounds like it will be great! Please send photos--would love to see your condo. We will spend Easter at home. We just came back from Qualicum Beach--went to help Colin's mother. Spring cleaning --made me realize how much we need to do at home. Anyways we had a lovely visit and she seems to be doing peretty well for 92 and living on her own. We went for lunch at an interesting hotel in Nanaimo--the Grand Hotel. Very nicely decorated and the most interesting part is that they have a whisky list of about 120 whiskies. Most interesting--quite the place.

Ron will come over for Easter dinner--we will have spiral ham, yams, brussel sprouts and carrots and perhaps some French Onion soup. April 16th isn't far off! You must be excited. Please keep in touch. Always sending you our warmest wishes and loads of love. Jo-Ann  Hi Marps! Trust you are well. Weather was chilly when Ski was here but still very pleasant for cycling, dressed warmly.
Fondestos from Lady Dar and Chloƫ to you both. Take care of yourselves until next our paths cross. Cheers, Patrizzio! [This Rock Sculptor is Amazing Please take a lookThis fellow is amazing: <https://www.facebook.com/yukiko.tosa.1/posts/10155105926036106> Cheers JoAnne] PS: Couldn't open link!

Hi OF's, Spring has sprung but Monday's 4cast is cold ... so what better way to warm up than by taking a hike! Haven't finalised destination as yet but it's likely to be a trek into the Northernmost part of Skaha Bluffs. I presume the regular entrance to the park is still gated shut so we'd access via the entrance off Evergreen Drive. This has very little parking so extreme car pooling is recommended. Two or three routes are possible, each being lollipop shaped and about 3 to 4 hours depending on how much people stop to eat/talk/photo.
Meeting arrangements per usual... Home Hardware in Penticton at 9am. Summerlanders, IGA at 8:40, to car pool. Hope to see you there! Cheers. Gill and Phil Robson

Hello Fartograms. In absence of Master Jimbo ... on Thursday March 29 we are going to hug the bears; baby, mamma & papa bear, dependent on the weather and your wishes! There still should be loads of snow for snow-shoe'ing. As usual, we will meet at 9:00am at the HH in Penticton, 8:40 at the IGA in Summerland, then carpool. Relaxation after the hike ToBeDetermined! Hope we will see you there, cheers, Aarturo
