Hi Wild Bill, aka St William! Very pleased to hear that your surgery went well and that you are gaining more strength. Glad you enjoyed the card. I must apologize for not being in touch sooner, especially since I wanted to let you know some of the better times to connect by phone. Friday and Sunday nights we are often/usually home, say from 5:00 pm on-wards. During the week things vary, depending on what is on, (bridge, book club, films, etc.), but I am usually here until noon, or thereabouts, before I go riding or to pool. Take care of yourself and all the best to you, St William! Cheers, Patrizzio!
Hi Lady Di and Patrizzio II! Thanks for the card! One holiday after another. We will spend Easter weekend at Spirit Ridge, our first stay in the recreational property,  we purchased this past November. [Another reason to visit and stay in Luxury! Sheer Luxury!!]. Hoping weather will cooperate as I usually ride to Osoyoos from here, only about 60 km but I often try to make it a 100 km outing by doing about 40 km, here in town, before heading south. Best from Lady Dar to you both. Cheers, Patrizzio! Patrick! You sly old devil. Happy St Paddy’s to you too! Thank you ... great card! Hugs from Your Jos & Aart And a top of the morning to you, too, Padraig! Thanks for the greetings. Hope all is well with all the Penticton leprachauns. Deborah Hi Deborah! Trust you are well. Hi Tinsel Town Mama, et al! Trust you are well and still on the hunt for the elusive condo! Thanks for posting those terrific snaps on St Patrick's Day. This past Thursday evening we formed a team with Josinta and Aarturo, The Old Smarts, at a Kiwanis charity Quiz Night, Unfortunately, The Wiltse Warriors, (more hikers/Flatlanders), trounced us! We have insisted on a judicial recount as Josinta and Aarturo requested a translator weeks in advance, knowing they, and hence our team, would be at a significant disadvantage. Next year we trust the  questions will be in Dutch! How is Sir Winston? Buona Fortuna with house hunting. Cheers, Dad/Patrizzio!Pics: What is the square root of 19,009,087? Team Old Smarts; Hanneke, at bar, [serving inferior wine, according to Lady Dar!], with another volunteer; Wiltse Warriors with Doug, on far right; with Ted, Mick and Sir Andrew, in February 2006.

Dear Penticton Leprauchan What a delightful St. Patrick's card! Really enjoyed it. We went to the Wolf and Hound pub for St. Patrick's lunch with Ron Jobe. Live music -- most enjoyable. Oh Penticton Leprechuan, thank you for thinking of us on St. Padraig's day! Indeed, we had a leprechuan here, and even a rainbow. Hope that you have enabling weather for a serious spin on the roads. I'm grateful for the skills of the staff at Milano who have furnished me with such fine espresso, and am grateful for the aftermath of a satisfying hour in the water. By the time we left Harbour Terrace and made our way to Boundary it was 10:00 am. Unfortunately, Lady Dar realized she's left Five Star Billionaire back at the Sutherland's place so we had to return to collect it as book was one of Penticton Library's Book Club set. With traffic and inevitable road work took about an hour before we were on freeway. Fortunately traffic to Abbotsford was reasonably light and we were at Costco by noon. After buying gas and doing some grocery shopping it was just after 1:00 pm when our journey resumed.

Hope-Princeton was almost completely dry so was able to push the speed limit whenever road allowed. Was pleased to find conditions so, not only for ourselves but also for friend, Ski, [visiting from Cape Breton], who would be driving it next day to stay for a few nights. Again, not much traffic so we zipped along and pulled into our driveway around 3:45 pm. A few minutes to unload and say hello to Chloë, Etta and Duke and then I suited up and went for a ride. Wind was fairly brisk, out of the North at 16 kph, so I decided I'd start out with the basic PTC/Lakeshore/Riverside Loop and then dipsy-doodle my way on streets before Pickering before taking the KVR to Middle Bench. After one run down MB I then made for Naramata Road to follow it as far as the Naramata boundary where I turned around, not wanting to become tangled up in the detour beyond, necessitated by on-going infrastructure work.

By the time I was back on Upper Bench I knew I'd still need a couple of loops around MB/UB before I'd logged the distance I wanted before returning to Burns. Still, I was pleased to have made a foray into the wilds of Naramatia as I'd not ridden that way since last Fall. Great to have the wind at my back as well, on the return, which also helped to allow a semi-decent AVG, given climbs involved and steady wind resistance when heading into it. Cheers!
