More Sevens and Sunny Skies Blues: Sunday, Mach 11th!

Isn’t it enough to see that a garden is beautiful without having to believe that there are fairies at the bottom of it too? -Douglas Adams, writer, dramatist, and musician (11 Mar 1952-2001)

Hello Upside Down Cat People, et al! Great snap of The Boy! Just up half an hour ago. Had a good sleep in spite of the change of time. Branko prepared an absolutely delicious meal last night, a scrumptious concoction of vegetables, (broccoli, red peppers and onions), and chicken over Purple Thai rice, something I'd never had before. When I saw it in the pan I thought it was Wild Rice, given how dark it looked. Anyway, it was a lovely, lovely meal. Must away as I want to have a quick shower before I eat the boiled eggs Sarge has prepared for our breakfast. Canada plays at 9:30 am and Flamin' will come for that, parking at Costco for two hours for $2. Day rate is $30! Greetings from The Sutherland Clan. Love and Cheers, Dad/Patrizzio! Pics: Ragin' last night and Molly Mop this morning after her walk.

Enjoy the eggs and the day. I booked the suite in La Penita for Jan. and Feb. 2019. Sent the first months rent of $1100.00 to Agneta. It looks fine for us and the girls if they want to come. Sunny here. See you tomorrow. Love Lady Dar
Liberty to all! Hola Pat and Corinne, Thinking of you! Cheers, G&J Hi Jane, where are you guys? Patrick thinks you have disappeared. Pat's in Vancouver this weekend at the Rugby Sevens. We will be back in next Friday for a memorial service for friend that George knew--Ted Keating. Patrick leaves for 3 months in Europe in Mid-April and is doing 2 guided bike trips one in Poland and one in Croatia. Chloe and I will be here all summer. You should come for a visit.
What are your plans? Good to see you are alive and well. Hugs Corinne Corinne,
thanks for the quick response. We will try to connect with Pat in Vancouver. If you hear from him, please let him know that the authorities from the Galiano Republic are looking for him. Hope to see you soon. Fond regards, G&J
Tummler, We just learned from Corinne that you are in town. I am in this week until Thursday. Here’s hoping we can see you. Fond regards, W&CJ

Hello Long Lost Republic of Galiano People! Thanks for making contact, Lady Dar! Great snap of the bar and Porch Climbers/Chain Cleaners at Liberty. I was probably using the elliptizer at FCCC while you were tippling! Anyway, had a wonderful, wonderful weekend of malt tasting on Friday evening at VWF, Dram Come True, and then two full days of rugby at the Sevens. Ragin' prepared a dinner fabuloso with Purple Thai rice on Saturday evening. Unfortunately, not enough people to play bridge but we spent an enjoyable evening chatting about Life and other important matters.

I stayed to see Fiji beat Kenya, (Scotland won the The Challenge Cup! Go Glasgow Go!), in the finals, late today, and then walked home, (Harbour Terrace, with Flamin' & Sarge), over Cambie Bridge and then Seawall. Had not realized how much work was still being done on Seawall, essentially from Mahony & Sons, going west to just past Spruce Harbour Marina. Looks terrific and keeps bikes and pedestrians well apart.

Flamin' had prepared a lovely dinner as Rebecca, Corey and their to young girls, Ashlynn and Avery, were over. We had seen them twice, this past week, in Penticton, as they were looking for houses, since they will be moving there at the end of April as both have been transferred to the RCMP detachment in town. Chloë is more than delighted as they have bought a house in Sendero Canyon, development where her town house is under construction. Will be a race to see which place is finished first, end of August for both, at this point!

Not sure what your schedule is tomorrow morning Giorgio, (I assume Calamity will be off to teach at some ungodly hour!), but perhaps we could meet for Tofu Benedict somewhere, or even an industrial strength java if it is too, too early for malt for Salish Sea Weasels! I would like to be on the road, preferably by 10:00 am but, as ever, am always more than flexible, as Lady Dar and Chloë well know! I did call and left a number of messages, on both numbers but you are either dead drunk or just sound asleep, or both. Anyway, let me know what you think and I'll plan accordingly. Cheers, Patrizzio!
PS: Great talking to you both, Whirlygig and Calamity, and I'll talk to you tomorrow morning, Giorgio.

PPS: Chloë, I'll pick up tuna and chicken breasts at Costco. Anything else? Let me know. Pics: Sarge with Brenda Peterson at Dram; Joan and Paul Whitney; Victoria Caledonian Distillery! Flamin' & Sarge at Sevens on Saturday; Ragin' Saturday night, after dinner; Sarge updating scores on Sunday morning; Scotland beat Spain 26/5 to win Challenge Cup! Fiji and Kenya before Final; an ocean of Fijian flags when their team won!

Hi D, Did we forget to tell you Duke came running across Burns at 7am Saturday with a bird stuffed in his mouth. He would not let me near it and we think he either ate the poor bird and stashed him somewhere as all I found were feathers.  Could you grab canned tuna and chicken breast at Costco please. Love you Hi D, Toothpaste for mom please. Ground turkey as well. And a cage for duke!! He was just in the dishwasher!! Drive carefully.❤️😘

Great pictures? Are you in Vancouver watching the Ruby ( your spelling!) 7’s? I would love to have gone to the games -looks like so much fun! Back to my visit, I’m going to drive up on Sunday since I can only visit my friend in Sat. the 18th. How’s Arriving Sunday pm for you?  Rhoda /ski Hi Ski! As you already know, I have been in Vancouver over the weekend, staying with Flamin' and Sarge. VWF Dram Come True on Friday night and then two days of Rugby '7's, Saturday and today. Arriving next Sunday is just fine. When I drove home today, Hope-Princeton was terrific. A bit of "wet" on highway through Manning Park, from melting snow on shoulders, etc., but otherwise rest was completely dry. Don't know about Coquihalla. I assume both routes should be even better/drier by next Sunday. I would drive up via HP but you decide. We live on Burns Street. Once you find Eckhardt you head towards Naramata and we are two streets before Government, on the left. I have attached screen shots of both routes, from Hope, where choice has to be made.

If you take Coq, (5), you will head south when you leave Connector, (97C), through Peachland and Summerland. 97 South turns into Eckhardt so you stay straight ahead until you go through lights on Main Street and then turn left onto Burns. If you take Crowsnest, (3), you will come north from Keremeos and eventually, when in Penticton, will make your way to Eckhardt. If you take Fairview, off 97 North, it will take you to Main and then you turn right onto Eckhard. If you follow 97 North, paralleling The Channel, where one tubes in summer, it will take you to Eckhardt as well so you turn right at the light past Canadian Tire and follow it across Main as you would if you came on Coq. I'm sure you won't have any difficulty finding us but you can always call if you need rescuing! Anyway, you can mull this over and we can chat beforehand if you feel the need to do so. Looking forward to seeing you at long last. Fondest from Lady Dar! Cheers, Patrizzio! Pics: Maps
