Raindrops Keep Fallin' On My Miradoro Blues: Sunday, August 13th!

Tact is the ability to describe others as they see themselves. -Abraham Lincoln, 16th president of the US (1809-1865)

Up at 7:00 am when Flamin' came back from her morning walk with Molly Mop to report that it had rained again. Had a few drops last night about 8:00 pm and Lady Dar was praying that there would be a decent dowsing back in Penticton early this morning.

Hello Tinhorn Creekers! Trust all goes well with everyone! Slight change of plans, inasmuch as I won't be cycling to the winery. We will be joining Flamin' and Sarge, and friends, at Black Hills for a short stint at their Happy Hour. This being the case will plan to arrive at Walter around 6:10 pm. If you are already at Miradoro we will make our own way there. Looking forward to see everyone. Thanks and Cheers, Patrizzio! Ok sounds good! Liisa

Hi Spirit Ridgers! Trust all goes well! Thanks to everyone for such a lovely time, food, wine and company, of course. How did Happy Hour go? Hello to one and all and look forward to seeing everyone on the weekend. Cheers, Patrizzio! Pics: Sumac, Osoyoos and Black Hills!

not sure who is available and when?? We can host - Monday probably best. Please others let us know your plans bye Gill I can’t make Monday night this week. Also, I am starting a trail running clinic on Tuesday this week. It runs Tuesday and Thursday for 6 weeks so those nights don’t work for me for the next 6 weeks. Gotta get fit:) Pamela Hello Swoosh Webster! Your running clinic sounds terrific and I applaud your commitment to fitness. However, we'll miss you at bridge. (We'll keep your schedule in mind if we decide to play on a Monday or a Wednesday and you can decide if this suits, if one of those evenings is chosen, over the next six weeks or so.) In the meantime, log those km's and look forward to bumping into you, somewhere, someplace, in the next little while. Cheers, Patrizzio!

TOUR DU VIN
Tasting in the Vineyard Event

Black Widow: Register now for our inaugural vineyard tour with 5 tasting stations. Get an exclusive tour with owner/wine-maker Dick Lancaster as he walks you through our Naramata Bench Vineyard to sample wines right next to the grapes that they came from. Sunday, September 3rd, 10:30 AM. Hi Tour Guide Dick! I gather your river cruise experience will hold you in good stead at home! Both Corinne and I would very much like to join this inaugural vineyard tour so please put us down if space is still available. Thanks and Cheers, Patrizzio! Hi Patrick – just a few spots left so you are on the list. See you then.
Dick. Hello again, Tour de Vin Director! Wunnerful Indeed! Thanks and Cheers, Patrizzio!

Hi Mainland Freeloaders! Trust all goes well on the trip back to Vancouver tomorrow, Tinhorn Creek people. We were home in just under 50 minutes to find the house empty of cats! However, Etta soon appeared and then Duke drifted in about an hour later. Thank you, Paul and Joan, for the lovely, lovely dinner even though it was under hurricane conditions!

Sorry it has taken me so long to send along the accounts of the the three rides we took together, Liisa, but, as I explained, at dinner, I had put in an incorrect email address so the data went somewhere into Vacuumland but not to me! At any rate, below you will find my account for the ride to Little Tunnel, if interested. Will be sending along accounts of other two rides and pictures from Farmers' Market and Miradoro, anon. For now, all the best to one and all. Cheers, Patrizzio!

Itinerary for Christina Tassell's trip Ireland: Hi Soon-to-be-World Traveler! What a fabulous itinerary! You manage to go halfway round the globe and we were stuck with an hour's drive, south to Osoyoos, this past Saturday! [Four hours by bike, into a head wind, gusting to 57 kph for much of the ride!] Trust all goes well, post-birthday bashes! Cheers, Patrizzio! Pics: Spirit Ridge, Osoyoos and Black Hills Winery!

hello OF hikers Another last-minute arrangement. Tomorrow I am going to explore the ridge above the KVR trail west of Faulder. This should be a fairly slow and not too arduous trip, and there will be a welcome lack of smoke.
On the way back, maybe stop for a dip in the creek. If you wish to join me, meet at HH Penticton at 0740 or IGA Summerland at 0800. Cheers Tony
